bought one of these dell pc's through huk, and today the guy phoned me from dell asking if i wanted the 3 year warrenty for £70 , he said if its faulty they will arrive next day to fix it and if they cant they will replace it with a new system ,
he said all parts and labour would be covered

1) is this a good deal

2) are dell systems reliable

if its a laptop check if they cover the battery as part of the warranty and you'll prob find they dont.

Iv yet to come accros a company that cover batteries as part of the warranty as its the one thing that prob always goes faulty after you've had the laptop more than 12 months.

batteries don't last forever, constant discharge and recharge, overcharging etc. they would be mad to warranty a battery.

Well you get a year anyways, so its £70 for 2 years cover, dosent sound too bad for next day service.

Im sure you can haggle a bit with the warrantys when they ring up.

My battery was playing up and dell are replacing it without any warrenty
