Dell XPS 430 - Any Spec Desktop Computer for Free! in fact Dell may give you £117,398.83 £117,398.80

Got an email from Dell for the new XPS 430 and there appears yet again to be a problem with their website.

If you look at the memory options on the base spec, you can either: -

upgrade to 4GB for free, or
upgrade to 3GB and save £117,398.83

Now this is a bargain if I have ever seen one.

The only problem seems to be it will not allow you to add the computer to your basket :(

Shame but someone may be able to get it to work.

I ordered too though I think I'll get a call from my CC issuer first.
#21
Do you think they set a precedent by honouring the XPS 1730 misprice?

Perhaps, honouring the one will mean they HAVE to honour the other.
#22
abomination

What? For the £20 delivery charge?
Or the £117,398.83 deposited in there?
Do you think they will increase your credit limit?
;-)
#23
At the very least it'll raise many red flags :).
#24
Guys, does it happen to you that when you go through the CC Visa verification it says 90000 somethign thousand you've GOT TO PAY (not to get). I called Halifax CC and they confirmed it was a debit transaction so it was going to take out money!

There's not a chance of such a transaction going through, it's all a bit of fun.
#27
There is no way that order can be placed let alone be delivered as Credit Cards will not accept incoming funds unless it is a refund so it is IMPOSSIBLE. :-(

You don't have to pay by credit card, I believe you can use Debit...
#29
I hope this goes through, it is all I can say :)

£100k :D
#30
Well, I'm gonna wait to see what happens next....got an order acknowledgment, and with any luck this is all automated so nobody will notice?!
#31
I think they will notice though ... if 10 people do it ... it will be a £1million!!! going out of their accounts in one single day! It is usually money in for this companies, isnt it?
#32
Won't let me add to basket
#33
Won't let me add to basket though, hope they honour this but without the cash back :) also upgraded a lot of the hardware and still won't add to the basket. Anyone been able to order it?
#34
ha ha my order is -£195k
#35
Cashback will track as a % of -£xxx,xxx.xx so I don't know what would happen there :), it would probably be ignored as an error by the affiliate network.
#36
Technically you could owe the cash back people something if this deal went through.
#37
How is that possible? How could we owe the cash?
#38
They would never honour it, They do it on purpose to rope people in, Hoping that people put the mis-priced items on websites like this.

You can guarantee they'll get a few genuine sales from someone off here. They may even spam your email address and offer you a discount as an apology etc..

But at the end of the day they get some sales so they win.
#39
If anyone gets a call or the money in their accounts please keep us updated :)

I will if I get one too.
#40
nowt will happen with this they will just cancel the orders
