I recently had a problem with my Denon UD-M30 hifi volume control where the volume would go up when turned down. I searched on google and found that this is a common fault but I was unable to find a solution.

If anyone has this hifi and is suffering the same problem then the fault is caused by a rotary encoder, an original Denon part can be purchased from here for £7.04 + postage:-

Anyone with a bit of soldering expereince can change it in approx 30 minutes.
