I had some work done on a tooth few weeks ago. The tooth was ok up until then as had some work done on it about 15 years ago and it turns out that that work left a potential problem which my new dentist drilled out to fix

Now..only a few weeks later the tooth is hurting again so got to go back.

What i wondered is has anyone got any thoughts or experiences on where i stand with this as the dentist charged a lot for the work a few weeks ago and i now need more work doing and i'm sure he'll charge me again

If you buy anything from a shop and it is faulty you can get your money back but where do we stand with dentists?

Any experiences, or any dentists thoughts welcomed!!!

I have a tooth on my left side that I doubt could be even called a tooth any more.

The first dentist did such a botched job on a filling that my new dentist had to remove a large proportion of my tooth leaving me with a little metal nub.

Our dentist went private we stayed with him! Before christmas He reckoned I needed a tooth out well for the check up and tooth out it was £145! Not so good!

But while taking the tooth out one of my crown come's off the tooth next to the one he's taking out! He put it back on. But whilst paying on my way out the nurse that in in the surgery rushes out and tells me( laughing while she does so! saying he made her come and tell me) He didn't charge me the £50 for putting the crown back on!!!!!!!!!! LOL did he really think I wouldn't have dissagreed with him aboout it!

If it is the same tooth then it should be covered under the treatment you have already paid for.

I would phone up or have a word with the receptionist before you actually undergo any more treatment to confirm this.

Good plan - havent called them yet but will make sure the receptionist knows about this

all fillings etc are gaurenteed, cant remeber for how long (think its a year). but any work done within 3 months is covered by what you previously paid.
