Walked past 2 who were saying they just spent £40 on a babies t-shirt.... i would normally not be bothered as its their money, but i know these people from the estate and they aint got jobs lol! I can imagine the poor babies room....no toys or stimulation devices but shed loads of henleys in the wardrobe!

Never saw the point in buying designer clothes for babies - they just get vomited, poohed and wee'ed upon......

However we did get lots 2nd hand - OH picked up bags of baby clothes for £20 etc all in very good condition as the babies aren't in them for that long.

I cringe a bit when I see 6 month old babies dressed in football strips.....

yeah thats what im talking about, designer gear is basically a rip off anyway, i spent all yesterday afternoon looking for some comfy trainers for work right, so i though i would try all the big shops 1st JD sports etc, i was apalled by the quality of some of the big brand trainers, felt like had clogs on, these are the poncey ones im talking about, not the running type ones (which i had to get in the end).

A baby doesnt care if its t-shirt has a little crocodile logo or comes from primark, personally id get cheaper stuff and donate the difference in price to charity til the kid is old enough to choose its clothes

Totally agree. I think that designer stuff on young children is a waste of money. The rate at which they outgrow everything doesn't justify the expense, in my opinion. But then, if someone earns a good wage and wants to spend their money this way, then that's their choice. It does peeve me when you see people that are unemployed dressing their babies/kids in the latest designer gear, as you know full well that they child has gone without something else that it would probably have been better off having.

Ok im wrong i apologise :)

i'd just like to justify my actions if i may; you have defo had more than one post slating people from council estates and on the dole, if this is not your intenetion then maybe you should think about the way your posts come across:thumbsup:

Ive never slated council estates so please remove that, and i havent slated dole wallers in this thread, ive said i feel sorry for any babies getting expensive clothes instead of things better for them
