I've been using 'Buy a mac' since you were in nappies sunshine. You young ones think you invented the internet. Just remember - you didn't! I did!

explorer->desktop-> delete offending icons oO

Cheers chaps ...... thanks for all the helpful hints !;) .... manage to correct problem myself.

Right click desktop > View > Align icons to grid
Right click > View > Auto arrange icons
