I haven't got a great deal of knowledge about computers. Just wanted to know if this one i'm looking at is good or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Asking 250 or sensible offer

That's reasonable but not a bargain by any means. Worth it though if you need one.

I have done a search around and a Dell 780 seems to be an Optiplex which are their business computers so well made etc.

A 2.93Ghz CPU is a fast CPU so it must be fairly new. 4Gb of memory is good, though 160Gb is a small hard disk by todays standards.

A 17" TFT is fairly small but usable.

If it is a Dell 780 Optiplex then they seem to sell at a decent price (far more than 250 anyway) so it may be a good deal.

In fact the lowish price does worry me a bit so make sure it is all in working order and it is a genuine Windows 7.
