Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all well,
Im looking for recipes for my grandad, he is diabetic and obviously with Christmas coming and everyone eating chocolate he is missing out so i was looking for a nice recipe to make him something special for him so he can indulge like the rest of us :)
Any suggestions will be gladly recieved and rep left, ive been looking all over google and they are all saying i need to buy unsweetened chocolate, ive never seen or heard of it.

Thanks guys....BlondeBella, i knew there was something with shop bought chocolate but couldnt remember what, thats why i wanted to make them lol :)

my mum used to buy diabectic mincemeat (in boots i think) and make like a bakewell atrt spong topping for them and my grandad be allowed 2/3 a day

You can get the sweetners and cook any dessert as you wish.

Do note however that there are sweetners that you can use for cooking purpose. Most of these are in liquid form.

Ive replaced the sugar with canderel but to be honest they are a little on the bland side but im sure grandad will still like them :lol:
I might make another batch yet though and just add a bit more cinnamon and more orange zest and canderel, not sure how they will turn out :whistling:
