I think if its a rearranged delivery, they do deliver late, but if it is they would tell you that they arranged it at a certain tme, so not too sure. Try the [email protected] website? theres something on there about late deliveries :)

IOD= Information on Delivery

So apparently they're expecting for you to receive it soon

Well from the reviews I read DHL aren't particularly reliable so I would try calling them if I were you. If you cant contact anyone you'll have to try again tomorrow.

So frustrating I know, I have little patience myself and this kinda thing drives me crazy.

Hope you get your delivery soon x x

I was due a parcel today from DHL (it has come though) HSD = home service delivery IOD =information on delivery.

I went on the online help and spoke to a rep at Parcel2Go and they told me what this meant. It's been passed to a self emplyed courier and they have paper records etc so takes a while to update...hope that helps

I normally get them come via a car or small van not DHL, think they get passed to self employed drivers, most likely be tomorrow now.

Yep DHL use self-employed drivers for the local part of the delivery. They are self-employed, the job is part time and VERY badly paid. I don't understand why any company thinks it's good practice to recruit anyone (or contract anyone) at the lowest rate they think they can get away with, it always backfires, and then the company gets a bad name. It's not surprising people have bad experiences with DHL delivery when DHL pay so poorly they are inviting problems...

I saw an ad DHL had placed inviting people to apply to be self-employed local couriers, own car required, part time job. The terms they offered were appalling.. Here's my email sent to DHL in response:

Hi

Let me just check this out.... 65p per parcel, you estimate 25 parcels per day, and you estimate this takes 3-4 hours work per day.

£0.65 x 25 = £16.25

£16.25 / 3 hours = £5.41
£16.25 / 4 hours = £4.06

So... the income is LESS than the legal minimum, less than someone would get serving burgers in McDonalds, and not only that, I would have to use my own car, so my own petrol costs and wear and tear on the car costs would have to come out of a mere £ 4.06 an hour???!!!

Are you looking for applicants who are not very good at maths?

It sounds to me that DHL is an unscrupulous and unethical company who take advantage of people for their own profits. I will bear that in mind next time I need to use a courier service.

No thank you.
