He got chemical weapons and chemical warfare mixed up. It wasn't as if he was holocaust denying. Just click bait crap as usual. The point he was trying to make is fair one; using chemical warfare, especially on your own people is not something people forget and those involved will be talked about in the same breath as the Nazis.

For anyone who has seen a BBC, Sky, or ITV news bulletin today, the answer will be 'Yes'. For anyone who hasn't, your rolling news channel provides a valuable service.

Funny thing is, the US and the rest of the West have yet to provide any conclusive evidence that Assad / Russia were responsible for the chemical attack.

It's also strange how there is no pressure from news channels, the same ones who went on for days about Trumps lack of evidence after the petty phone tapping accusation.

I am going to get stick for this but i will say it anyway.

He miss spoke and caught himself instantly and corrected himself, he then went on later to apologise. The example was poor and the context dumb, it shouldnt of been used, but being a pedant and bringing up he holocaust and the UN definition of chemical weapons doesnt make you smart. His point was that even the nazi party refrained from using chemical weapons in open warfare, which is true.
I dont get what people want anymore, they dont want coached robots with pre-written scripts but if someone makes a mistake and even corrects it immediatly after everyone gets to jump down their throats? Oh right this guy is part of the Trump administration so its easy smug and smarty points i forgot.

Did you watch the previous press conference where again he said about if Syria used barrel bombs again then the USA would strike and again the WH had to clarify. As within 24 hours Syria again was dropping barrel bombs.

when he says if you put a barrel bomb into innocent people? I personally took that as saying that purposeful bombing of civilians in general, but the White House had to clarify because yet again what he said cannot be directly attacked so picking apart exact usage is easier.

If you think this is only about the Holocaust your as ignorant as him and sadly from what I've been reading it seems most Americans are that ignorant aswell.

He killed a hell of a lot more then just jews, the nazis invented sarin gas, as well as the Holocaust which frankly gets shoved do our throats all the time and everything else ignored, he murdered mentally ill\disabled people, called it Euthanasia but it was simply cleansing as part of his eugenics idea, as well as hurding people in to centres like the gypsies and other none arians for example he had mobile gas vans, they ripped people out of hospitals and care homes, knocked on the doors of people registered or locally known to have disabled children, took their kids and gassed them.

He's also reported to have used it against the Russians in several battles, he didn't use his sarin on us because he knew he'd get attacked with x3 times as much in retaliation as we had far bigger stockpiles then he did and can proudly boast of being the creators of some of the most dangerous chemical weapons in the world, and the deadliest of all as well.

But those points aside what a lovely bit of misdirection, what was his speech meant to be about again? or yes Syria well at least that guy whos name mr spicer keeps messing up wasn't as bad as Hitler.

I'm always amused by the continued reference to barrel bombs by western media. Are they somehow trying to convince their audience, an audience that seems only too willing to be convinced, that barrel bombs are somehow nastier than the expensive shiny ones that they've been dropping on the people of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria etc etc etc?

Apparently ripping innocent children and killing them isn't using it in warfare...

It is a ridiculous world we live in and even reading about some of the stuff that was done but is widely ignored actually brings a tear to my eye.

But its ok because anyone that says anything negative about this its just because its Trump...

I agree with you. It was a ridiculous comment. But just as ridiculous were the opportunist and blinkered comments from the woman on TV yesterday, calling him a Holocaust Denier. I'm pretty sure he actually believes that Hitler killed millions of Jews, however ridiculous his comments were.
