Please can anyone help me prove that I did not dream this film? It must have been on TV approx 30 years ago. From what I remember it started in "real-life" with a boy in a car (red I think) then turned it into an animated film. The bits I remember about the animated film bit was that the boy had 3 "trials". One was to empty a well using only a thimble. The next was to pick his way through a mountain using only a needle and the last was to move a huge pile of sand, grain by grain using only a pair of tweezers.

It has been driving me mad for years trying to remember it's name (if indeed it was a film???? YIKES!)

join lovefilm for a 90 day free trial and rent the dvd ;-)

I remember it really well as was hunting it down a few years back, was only a baby when it was released but they showed it regularly throughout the 70s and early 80's :)
