Dieseal Cars- Worth it?!?

I have a Pug 206 1.4 petrol which i could probably sell for about 1400ish.

I have been looking for cheap dieseal cars, would it be worth selling my 206 for a dieseal?

I do about 1400 miles a month at the moment in my petrol car.

yes. diesels are loads more fun. you can rag them and the fuel consumption is hardly touched.

Newer diesel cars are excellent. Make sure the car also has a turbo (should do)

I would only have the money from selling my 206 to buy a "new" diesel.

Guess it would also help if i learnt how to spell diesel aswell.

doing 1400 miles a month, you will certainly see the difference. i would reckon maybe a VW Passat 1.8/2 TDi for around 2k ish with about 60-70k on the clock if you are lucky! If you stick with a VW, or Peugeot 407 2007 onwards for about 2k-3k should be good. The french make fantastic diesels!!

yep definately worth it, I switched to a diesel car and would never go back to a petrol car now, too much money wasted on petrol, diesel cars tend to sell for more than their petrol ones though, even if its the same car!

The words fun and diesel I wouldn't associate with each other until I drove an Aplina D3, which changed my mind and would be the only diesel I would consider.

Every other diesel I have driven is slow, noisy and smelly, diesel lovers bark on about torgue, but that doesnt make up for a total lack of mid range power.

Until I have to do mega miles for work I will stick to my twin turbo petrol engine.
