Hey ok ive done the deed and started my diet and gym but i want to no what foods are ok for me to eat like i have been told to stay away from chicken as it builds u up , i have seen those shakes on the tele which help with dieting but i dont no what there called and if they are any good , any advice would be appreciated .

I don't know anything about this subject but that seems strange about chicken,never heard that before,i thought its only the skin one should avoid.

Everyone's body works differently so someone's diet might not work for you... I found weight watchers to be the best for me, although I always get bored after a while. Good Luck with the diet, but you don't look like you need it from your pic.

To lose weight you need to burn up more calories than you take in, so just eat sensibly (i.e. no chocolate or crisps) & keep exercising! Good luck:thumbsup:

Thanks hunny ill keep that in mind im at the gym 3 times a week for keep fit and will be going to the gym in between once i get into a routine

keep away from those shakes, you have to learn to eat properly, they may work short-term, but won't help you long-term.

+1, chicken is great, bit remove the skin.

Turkey is a much better replacement

if you're going to the gym the weight will fall off you.

I lost quite a few pounds by simply not eating chocolate for 6 weeks,it killed me mind you..lol

just cut down on portion sizes, use smaller plates, don't deprive yourself of too much, if you want a biscuit have one, just not 5.

Eat more vegetables and salad stuff, you can have tons of that. Keep some carrot sticks etc in the fridge, whenever you feel peckish have one.

Good tip, if you do feel hungry have a glass of water:)

do not stuff yourself for meals, eat smaller portions throughout the day
if your really serious about the diet cut out ALL soft drinks, crisps chocolates etc etc basically all sugary stuff, also NO TAKEOUTS
i did something similar to this and 1-2 months later i noticed a big difference

I found the strawberry slim fast shakes yummy.
Have 1 for brekkie n 1 for lunch (or some slim fast soup) and a normal main meal (meat n veg or something similar) n like what was said, just keep your portions down or bulk it up with veg (or salad).
I'm lucky i love water so that really helps.

Hi toni :) how about lots of citrus fruits and salads. Don't put mayo on the salad or fatty dressings. You need to make your own with a little olive oil and some fruity vinegar and a few ground mustard seeds and garlic. Also eat lots of watercress because its loaded with vitamins and nutrients. http://www.watercress.co.uk/health/
And don't forget to drink lots of water. Good luck xx

You want to drink plenty of water.

Porridge is a great breakfast, throw in some blueberries or a banana, flavour with cinnamon.

Eat every 2-3 hours, keeps your metabolism ticking over.

Don't eat carbs after 15:00.

I should be taking note but i'm such a lazy moo i can't abide cooking,i never eat fruit,i don't eat much veg,never mind 5 portions a day,i don't manage it a month!

I've just had a packet of monster munch,a cadburys turkish delight & a can of Pepsi

Do not think by skipping meals or eating less u will be losing weight, we all need a certain amount of calories to keep our body ticking, this is why never to skip a meal.
oh and the chicken is perfectly fine, high in protein and keeps u felling fuller longer
turkey and tuna are also great as protein source
if u are struggling to eat fruit what i did was buy a smoothie maker and just blend them all together like strawberries and bananas with a bit of juice and low fat yoghurt, taste great and 5 a day in 1 go haha!

Take your time in the supermarket reading labels you will be surprised how many calories are in things advertised as healthy. My main tip's are when you feel the need for something sweet have a mini milk ice cream even comes in chocolate and only 30 calories and stay away from fruit juice even the best pure stuff as it has a lot of naturel sugar have the fruit instead you wouldn't eat 5 oranges in one sitting but easy to drink the juice of 5 oranges in one go.

I'm sure people are gonna slate this, but try the Paul McKenna system. You should be able to get it quite cheap off Amazon.
It's not about hypnosis. In short, it just teaches you how to listen to your body properly. Really good, worth a shot.

Hey, here's a serious answer. I lost 15 pounds so far in 40 days so I know it works.

1) Cut all the crap from your diet. Includes all preservatives, refined flour and sugar (good tip: do not eat anything with high fructose corn syrup, it messes your insulin, a fat-storing hormone)
2) 1 pound of weight loss equals 3500 calories. A woman's daily calorie need as typically 2000, so count your calories (or learn to estimate properly), just by cutting 500 calories a day will equal 1 pound of weight loss a week.
3) Naturally, exercise.

I really recommend you going to CalorieCount (google it up), its a free service for people who want to lose weight. PM me if you have any questions, I'd be glad to help.

i so wish there was a diet where you could lose weight by eating one meal per day, i want to lose weight but cant be doing with all the food you have to eat
