got a problem with my camera

make: Fujilm
Model: finepix F20

It takes pictures ok & & i can view them of the memory card while its still in the camera, but when i put the memory card in to my memory card reader so i can access the pictures on the pc i get a problem.

I can view the pictures on the memory that i took a few months ago but the last 10-15 pictures i took i cant view them, it says the "file is corrupt or incompatible format". but they still are being saved as .jpg files.

Iv even reset the camera but im still getting the same problem, iv tried about 4 different programmes to open the pictures but still getting the same message.

put put the memory card back in the camera i can see the pictures again.

The camera is still under warranty but im trying to find a quick fix my self for the problem as i need it later this week

sounds like you have a problem with your memory card reader or the memory card. try a different memory card.

ive had this problem it ended ub being a fault with the memory card i put a 2 gb card in a 1gb mp3 player just to take off the photos to my hard disk(my mp3 player can act as a reader)it screwed up the card as it could only read 1gb and only showed as 1gb on the pc when i put the card back in the camera it initialized the card and screwed it up just like yours,i binned the card after trying every type of software to rescue the card

wonky card, replace it now before you fill it with good photos and it dies completely and you lose them, cards are so cheap theres no excuse ;)

i backed up what pictures i could of the card & then reformatted the card. It all seams to be working ok at the moment, but im guessing it could start to f*ck up again.

would the card be covered under the manufacture warranty for this sort of problem if it was to happen again?

i had a fuji a few years ago where it would take a pic but not let you view it, other times it just wouldn't read the card. in the end, I formatted the card and it all worked fine after that. I'd buy/use another card for now and see how things go, if no hassle then maybe a glich or the card is faulty. if it happens to the new card then you know it could be the camera.
