Disc Repair - Who's the best - BlockBuster-Game-Gamestation- HMV

Today I bought a new game for the Xbox360, played it for about half an hour then it froze, the Xbox made a weird noise and then upon taking the game out it has a major ring round the outside of the disc.

All I want to know, is where the best place to take it to try and get it fixed.

Who is the cheapest - but overall who is the best at repairs as never had this before.

Thanks

If it's a new game & it's not working, how about taking it back for a new one/refund?

That happened to me when the xbox fell over while running. Took it to gamestation (who never seem to charge) amd they fixed it but told me to save the game on to my hard drive as I'm likely to have trouble with it again.

I think a ring appearing on a disc a day after purchase is obviously not your fault... a scratch yes but how would you get a ring onto there?

its the console. nothing to do with the game

If you know anyone else with the game, borrow it off them, install it to your hard drive, return it back to your mate or blockbuster if you like then boot your game from hard drive in future with scratched disc in.

Works a treat as it just needs the disc for booting authentication.
