Im an arsenal fan and I just want to say im not surpised at todays performance.
I also feel sol cambell is too slow & old now and he cant keep up with the pace of the game anymore, i dont understand why arsene wenger re-signed him?. Almunia needs to be replaced, bring back Fabianski, arsenal need more physical players who can keep the ball & dont get bullied of the ball so easy just look at what happened at stoke and today with man utd!.
Arsenal reportedly have 30 million to spend on players why doesnt mr wenger actually buy a quality goalkeeper, a decent backup striker, defender, and midfielder who dont get bullied off the ball so easy i know arsenal have a talented squad but its just not happening when it comes to the the big guns!!

WAH WAH WAH.. We have lots of money and world class players and we lose one game vs Man U and everything is now wrong with the team.

Try supporting Bristol City who have nowhere near as much money, no Cesc Fabregas and more to the point can without fail throw away every game they play in the last 5 minutes and have pretty much done so without fail for the last 1 and a half seasons.

Losing 3-1 a home to a Utd team without both centre halves is poor.

I'm afraid Wenger just cannot see what is blindingly obvious that he needs an out and out centre forward to score goals and hold the ball up.

Arsenal only seem to have one type of football and that is fancy 16 touch football, when needed they need to have some other formation but Wenger insists on this 'beautiful game' football which just isn't working now. I think another season of winning nothing will test the fans patience for next season.

You lost one game... last time i checked you were sitting in 3rd place what 6 points off the pace.. its hardly a crisis situation is it?

Arsenal fans talking asif today's game is end of line. Personally, I'd say Arsenal are over acheiving this season. No one expected them to 3rd, after losing Adebayor and Toure I thought and many I knew thought they would be fighting for fourth. Arshavin should have been finishing the chance's he had, thats the difference with the scores. UTD finished Arsenal never, both had similar chance's.

You should be happy to be 3rd for what is historically quite a small club.

Now that's what I call a wind up

3rd most successful English team for trophies won, So we are massively over-achieving for the last 20 years :p

Multiply the number of league titles you've won by the number of FA Cups you've won by the number of Champions League Trophys you've won, does the answer come to zero? :-D

"Losing 3-1 a home to a Utd team without both centre halves is poor."

Arsenal played nearly all the game without any strikers, putting on an unfit just back from injury Bendtner barely qualifies as playing a striker at all.

Arsenal is a strong team, like Jamie Redknapp said at half time, Arsene needs to sign an experienced centre forward, with van Persie out, it leaves Arsene relying on either players that are much better off in the midfield role or kids. Fabregas dosen't always have the game of his life, he played terrible yesterday, as did Asharvin.

I'm a United supporter but I actually felt for Arsenal, its always a shame when you see fans leaving the stadium early.

You can't use that as an excuse, thats Arsenals fault for being blind to the fact that they really need a fit striker for EVERY match if they are to get in with a chance of getting a Champions League spot, a few good teams in a few seasons are gonna be pushing new boundaries if you ask me.

I'd be annoyed if I knew my manager had funds but refused to see the obvious and use them. Even if it were a loan signing until the end of the season at least it would be another option.

And that is where honest Arsenal fans are now, annoyed constantly, every transfer window Wenger says he has funds and thinks we may bring in a new face, Arshavin, Vermaelen, Awesome players both, but not exactly what we were expecting, you cannot lose strikers season after season to injury and remain blind to the fact you need a robust top class striker, we have something like six striking options and apart from VP none of them are up to the job.

Out of 3 tournaments in a fortnight...
Wenger clearly needs to buy some experience instead of opting for youth EVERY time. Combining both is always a good thing but now and again it is wise to splash the cash on 1 or 2 players to strengthen the team with immediate effect (no waiting for 2 years to find their feet).

I thought this was the "lets all laugh at Arsenal" thread........ Oh wait! X)

the arsenal team is just too young, they play fancy football, but they dont have the balls to get it in the back of the net.
#25
I think he's got it half right.
But needs some steel in the team.

To be fair, I think Alumina has had a couple of really good games... Flappy handski is a liability!
