It is a shame this happens.

I worked at the Manchester sorting office over christmas and I was made to feel like a thief by being constantly watched.

i can understand how you feel, where i work we get agency workers and people are to quick to point the finger at them and blame them if anything goes wrong, then all the manager does is ring the agency company and tells them not to send them again which isnt fair as there trying to make a living like the rest of us.

I sold a DSi on eBay and it went missing, had to refund the guy in full as i unknowingly chose the wrong postage, it was sent recorded so I'm convinced it was nicked. I hate Royal Mail.

special delivery tracks the package the whole way using a hand scanner

recorded tracks when it's signed for, and is entered on the system at depot

They couldn't prove to paypal they had sent it, therefor had to refund.

OMG it is so embarassing that the Royal Mail staff (casuals and staff) are shown to be mucking about, then stealing. sorry for the ones who are working hard but it's a walking disaster.

Aren't they due to do a Horlicks advert soon?

Only up to £39, but even then they don't give a penny if the item was too high value.

even if you could prove to paypal they had sent it, then would still need to refund

paypal only accept proof of DELIVERY

our local police even went to a postmans house after hundreds of complaints and found his living room jammed packed with parcels & letters, his pathetic excuse was didnt have enough time to deliver! and yes some of the mail was open, was he sacked NO he was moved to another area. Did i get any of my missing mail no i didnt , did RM investigate ?

If your mail was there, it would have been delivered.

only problem we have now is if you miss the postie and he has left a card you have to wait 48 hours as he takes the mail home and not always on the early shift the next day..... no to me thats asking for trouble.
this infomation was told to me by the sorting office

I would investigate that? He's not allowed to take the mail home to the best of my knowledge.

I'm constantly having stuff nicked, must be costing Play.com and Amazon a fortune...

yes hun our van driver does take home the undelivered mail, not sure if he was allowed or not but he does,

Are you not interested in whether he is allowed to? Or will you wait until it goes missing again?

vinylandtrinkets
non of the mail that was found in the postmans house was delivered and the police at the time had no idea where it went,

Why would the Police know where it went?
The sorting office would have had it back and delivered it.

Hmm I noticed here that pretty much every item I sent from October to January myself went missing even recorded stuff, or the stuff that was delivered was broken beyond repair.

Gone back to fast postage here again strangely.

this is the problem we had, all the packets, parcels or letters ( jiffys) with shop logos on them were nicked.

I'm pretty certain its not the actual 'walk up the path postie' thats nicking them, its the plebs in the sorting office...
#23
put a miniature spy webcam in jiffy envelope (one that uses little energy power) and if they open it they get recorded LIVE on youtube wooohoahahahaha.
