Ah, there's always something left in the tank. My mate's dad scored himself a new woman a few years ago, and he's something like 80. I don't think a spritely young 50 year old should have much to worry about there.

I was married for 3 years and we split up.

I have been with my current wife for almost 5 years and have never looked back.

Life goes on, you will find someone, just enjoy your freedom for a bit and don't rush to try and find anyone.

Sorry to here that hun, i was married for 4 months, but iv been with my new man for 9 years
Iv never been happier.
Theres a saying...All the shoulda, coulda, woulda's in the world wont change your past, but there's always something out there thats ment for you, your past is what made you the person you are now, and the future is something to look forward to, full of new experiences :)

I was diovorced at 51 (though had been separated for quite a while by then). Am now re-married to a wonderful man 12 years my junior, who assures me that he is happy to be with me. I didn't think that this could ever happen but it did! Stay optimistic as life can be wonderful, surprising and, really, 50 is no age at all. I'm happier now than I have ever been before, and I believe that this is possible for anyone. xx

So there is hope for me yet then..?? At the moment I feel I have lost everything I had in the last 21 years.! So sad.

Doesn't it damage the sanctity of marriage when you get divorced?

Best of luck mate for the future, Its a difficult period and being confused about your emotions sounds natural, It might not seem like a new start right now but look at it being like the begining of a new chapter.

Friends and family are really important right now and they prob really want to be there for you - so let them!

It does get better, trust me! just find a new interest or plan on doing a little travel etc, it all helps!

Never quite understood why people get married anyway. Sure the wedding is a fun day, but you can buy wedding cake from most bakeries, the tax benefits aren't what they used to be and there's a 50% shot that it'll be nixed in a few years anyway.

On the other hand, I suppose if you've met the one...lucky for you that they were in the first couple of thousand people you've met on earth...

Time to wave goodbye to the past and look forward to the future.
I have just taken up classes in Argentine Tango, as well as being a fun activity, its great socially and at my class, there are more women than men.
