Hi,
I have a problem with Dixons and I would need help from someone that knows about this procedures.

I ordered two refurbished iPods from Dixons for £99 on the 18th of December, as you know they promise it will be delivered before Christmas. And that is my first question? what if they don't meet that promise? is there any kind of compensation or something?

In my case the iPods didn't arrive, not only in time, but a MONTH later I had not received them, after ringing a few times and waiting a few more days one of them got delivered at home.
I kept chasing the other one, being ripped on this premium numbers, and they kept saying it would be delivered in 5 days.
My surprise was that the other day I got a letter saying they refunded the £99,check on my account and the money was already there.
I phoned them up today expaining the situation and the woman only apologised and said it was all she could do. And that the price of a similar iPod would be £179.
Not only couldn't I give my present on time but know they expect me to pay extra to get a similar iPod.
After all the inconvenience I was trying to explain to her that the less they could do would be to give me a similar or superior iPod.
The woman didn't want to give out her surname, only gave me a Name and Extension and didn't even want to tell me what department she is in, just said my department is Dixons.
English is not my mother tongue and in cases like this really lets me down.
I'm so frustrated and angry now. I think they shoudl give me at least what I bought, let alone compensations for all this time, TWO MONTHS and inconvenience.
I check the complaints department on Dixon's website but it's the same number and probably same email as the people I talked to this afternoon.

Could anybody tell me where I could write/ phone/email to try to look for a solution?

I haven't got the time now, but you can buy a similar i-pod and bill them for the difference.

It depends on how far you want to go for this to be successful.

You should be able to get the email address of the CEO of dixons, i cant remember the link to find them but someone on here should be able to help you.

Im sure if you email the CEO and tell him/her about your ordeal then you will be able to get somewhere.

I've been trying to get the CEO email address but couldn't find it.
Does anyone here know it or can point me to where to find it?
The idea of the refund sounds good as well, do you know how to claim it?

Complaining to dixons is a nightmare. I bought wii play for christmas and it packed in working so i wanted to send it back. After 6 emails with no replies and then a further 5 phone calls i got all the info to send it back but wanted to make a complaint that i couldn't get a reply to my emails. I complained and got the reply eventually that its all been sorted. I have sent it back but not had a replacement as yet and my complaint was about the hassle i had trying to get it sent back. Its not worth the trouble. :x

I don't think the CEO actually reads these minor stuff. I would guess he/she have someone to filter out all the important emails and forwarded the rest to the appropriate people to handle.

I will be out of the office starting 05/09/2007 and will not return
until
08/01/2010.

John Clare has now retired from DSGI.

So it looks like he is gone, would anybody know who the new one is?


i work for the dixons group and tried to find a number so you could get it sorted but all i could find for you is cheif executive is john browett and his personal assitant is deborah williams, i can pm you an email address for him if you want?
