Hello, I need to make some more of these

I know a lathe would do it but there to expensive, I was told by some one else that a tap and die would work?

if so could you tell me what set would allow me to make them at these measurements:
2cm long or 2.4cm long (with the thread) and 0.9cm across.

http://www.woolworths.co.uk/web/jsp/product/index.jsp?pid=50971401
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001001&langId=-1&searchTerms=tap+and+die&x=0&y=0
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=tap%20and%20die&source=15&SD=Y

also does anyone know where they sell metal sticks that are 0.9cm across?

I would prefer them to be tin and coated in nickel but if not other metals will do.

Thanks for any help :).

Thanks, I only linked to them as one is quite big and I wasn't sure if its allowed.

Don't think a tap&die will do it mate. I take it the thing (whatever it is) in pic 2 is a single piece?

Sorry I should have been more clear, yes, all the pictures are of the same thing, the internal thread is the same size as the thread on the outside, so it would screw into its self (if it could).

Do you know of anything else that would work?

how critical is the O.D. size of 9mm?
Would you get away with 10mm? (standard size) or 3/8 which is 9.5mm
Do you know what thread size is? (ie. 5mm 6mm ???) or (imperial size, 1/4") ????

I think 10mm would be ok, I just measured it again and it does seem to be closer to 1cm and after checking 1cm = 10mm (you probably already knew that ;-))

The thread looks like its 0.4 or 0.5cm long and 0.4cm across.
