So i got the "white screen of death" on my iphone, its out of warranty, so i had to sort it out myself, i tried all the button combos, hard reset, restored the phone etc. but still got the same issue, so i thought i ruled out a software issue, so my reading up i was led to believe there might be a loose connection number 3 i think, so i opened it up and it was connected, so then i was told i need a new lcd, so i bought one from eBay which was £20, i replaced it and get the same problem, only now there black lines streaked up and down, the phone works, i.e it syncs and i can call it and here all the noises but you just cant see anything, any help?

I got mine repaired by an independent phone shop after I cracked the screen after Reading about needing an LCD and a digitizer j decided to let a professional try. The screen was not as responsive after the repair and then stopped working completely a few weeks after. I shouldve given it to apple to repair.

Incidentally familiarise yourself with the sale of goods act there is a limit of 5 years for which you can take products back to suppliers if they are faulty. I'm not saying an iPhone should last 5 years but I would think it reasonable that it should be without problems for about 3 years.
