Just noticed that under my screenname I have a red square where most have a few green ones :x

I think someones going out of there way to give me negative reputation :x

Not quite sure what I've done wrong as I've not been in conflict with anyone during my short time here :x

Was just wondering if anyone else has -46 or greater reputation and 'can only hope to improve'? :x

All in all I'm very :x about my red box!

There are quite a few posters with a lot more red squares:-

Any idea why you have them or what posts they came from?

I have no evidence for the following guess

Whenever someone posts anything remotely negative in a thread that 'ChrisUK' starts they seem to suddenly find themselves a few rep worse off.

Ahh shucks you guys (and gals :))

I wasn't plugging for rep (though obviously im not complaining), I just wanted to aire the fact that people seem to be giving neg rep for no reason at all, I'm sure im not alone in that respect.

The reason it even came to my attention is because I was thinking of putting something in the 'For Sale' section and realised that with my negative rep it would probably not hold me in good stead with prospective buyers.

Perhaps its something the admin need to look into, though i'm not sure what could be done, and don't take that as a complaint about the forum as its a brilliant place.

Ooooo, I got two negs reps on this thread. :giggle:
It don't matter because who ever left it does not have any reps themselves or they are already in the 'red' and it did not affect my points :giggle: :giggle:

Me too, or maybe they are positives but from people with red boxes?

I dunno exactly how the system works, but i have 2 grey boxes when i look at my profile, are they good, bad or ugly?

Grey boxes are, as I understand it, people who have no ability to affect your Reputation.

Take the Yorkshire attitude Caesar "I say what I like and I like what I bloody well say"....if that gets you bad rep the laugh is on them.

I totally agree, but as i mentioned earlier in the post, I was thinking of selling something in the For sale section and thats where a bad rep can cause dissern.

:)

In fact I'd even settle for a neg if it shows I'm not being ignored.
440 posts and sod-all reputation of either the good or bad variety:-(

Do you think it was some Tesco personnel high up the chain who gave you the negative feedback, i demand an investigation lol
#25
Lol, im not sure if i got it for the tesco comment or the one previous. Gawd knows, yes I want the HUKD FBI on the case please.

It appears I no longer have such a bad reputation, though im not sure i deserve my 2 green boxes lol.

Edit: Just checked, it was for the tesco comment, so im guessing its the chairman of tesco, not happy at me advertising his deals lol.

I will boycott Tesco in your name.

Can some-one post a link, or explain how the feedback system works? I don't know how to leave feedback, or how to check my own. I'm not quite sure how the thermometer works either. Is that just the amount of people clicking on cold/warm/hot?

I, on the other hand, will do even more shopping at Tesco to make up for Steamroller's boycott, because I think the reputation system is totally irrelevent.

Agree :)

As to your own rep, this isn't Christmas yet! I remember that you were helping to oh-so many forum users last year... Hope this year you'll continue with this tradition. :)

Yes, of course I will. Whenever I log in, I always go to the deal requests first to see if I can help anyone. ( Thankless task that it is ). But I don't do it for the praise I do it because I enjoy it. Apparantly, the best way to improve reputation on this site is either to beg for reputation or to make lots of inane comments!
