Spoke to a really helpful chap in the apple shop the other day , he said apple and the phone companies had price fixed the contracts so you wont get a really good deal

i bought an iphone 16gb 3gs sim free from http://ukmobiles4you.co.uk/

they have the 32gb for £399.30 or the 16gb for 320.40

and then will get a sim free iphone contract for 12 months

hope this helps

does that mean its dodgey then? and please does anyone know if i will be covered as i paid with a credit card
#16
hey,

you will be covered as long as it was a credit card and not a debit card. Any purchase over #100 means you are covered under section 75 of consumer credit act.

http://www.fool.co.uk/credit-cards/information/why-use-a-credit-card.aspx

Sit back and let the cc sweat it out. They make enough out of you with interest etc and take it as a lesson learned.

The old saying of If its too good to be true ... comes to mind

Members have the ability to create new merchants, we've been filtering these over the past few days however it seems pretty persistent.

They do not meet HUKD criteria to be listed as a merchant, hence removal.

the update is the wife phoned the credit card company 3 times until she got someone that understood her, she was sort of helpful , said the company couldnot take the money twice so as before ask them for a refund but if it all goes sour then ring them and they will sort it out for us.Did not want to take this risk so sent an email cancelling my order and asked for a full refund. So we will see what happens from here.
#31
sassie if you get a 3gs somewhere will you let me know please.

Now i'm really worried , my blood pressure is sky high i can tell, i hate it when things go wrong and usually i'm so careful, when i read they had been in business for 10 yrs and you could collect from Manchester i thought it all seemed above board. If they do this regular there might be something in taking the payment twice.Kids are really disappointed as they were putting half the money to the phones.

Anyone experiencing diffculties in getting responses from UKmobiles4you chasing delayed orders due to the volcanic ash cloud.... should contact solidtrustpay in canada direct - specifically the card processing department..

I have experienced problems on the 'too good to be true' macbook offer and assurances that order has been despatched but no invoice, consignment reference of even confirmed delivery date.

Solidtrustpay (STP) however managed to initiate a live chat session with the owners whilst I was on the phone and I am now waiting for a call back direct UKmobiles4you... we will see...!

STP are monitoring the account and the are now aware of the problems..! if nothing happens then they guaranteed a refund would be made.

I found a lot of worried comments about peoples orders so hope this helps..
