Cant say I have heard of them, have you looked at Sykes ? I use them, they have a decent selection in Scotland, I have never been let down. £30 booking fee is a bit of a joke, but they then give you the owners number so I keep them and deal direct with them now cutting out the middle man entirely.

Ohhhhh cottage selection are in partnership with cottages4u, I see now, heard of them, almost used them once, then found the cottage I wanted from them online and booked direct with the owners again.

ummmmm its still the low season, depends what you want and where you are going I guess, google them and have a look, the last one I stayed in was £128 for the week and that was a cottage for 6 people, that was including the £30 fee which is a killer though.

Yeah these sites are all well and good, but sometimes you get better deals off the owners, they an cut a deal and get the house filled for a few days whereas the cottage "pimps" would leave it empty because they are still getting the cash for advertising it off the owner.

All you need is the cottage name and area its in and sometimes they come up on google or maybes the visitscotland website, it might take a bit of work though and its a pain in the behind if you dont have much time to waste on internet holiday searches, good luck though, and enjoy your break if you get anything. I am away on Monday to one of the Forest Holiday cabins, mind check them too, I got mine for £80, its basic, but I only want a bed at the end of the day.

Yep may well do that.
