Do Not Understand Quidco ? ? ? ?

I've purchased two items on two seperate occassions one from mothercase, and the other from office.co.uk

I completed these two transactions by going through Quidco, but when i check my transactions there is nothing, and i don't know if i'm doing something wrong.

When i completed the transaction with office it did not say anything to do with cashback or going through a cashback merchant??

I completed both transactions through Quidco, and went throught the regular checkout process..

Enter Personal Details
Credit/Debit card details > Delivery Address > Agree to T&C's and then clicked Check Out.

So why arent these coming up as transactions on my Quidco account? any help will do thanks

had you been to these merchants before via another site, like here or somewhere else?

If you dont understand something, leave well alone.

Would you attempt brain surgery because it paid well?

They do sometimes take a whileb to track, try submitting an enquiry to Quidco, although you sometimes have to wait 14/28 days to do this (it'll tell you when you try to submit it).

A perfect example.

Why would a baby learn how to walk, when it doesnt know how to?

then hukd will probably get the referral, you should have cleared your cookies, or even use a different browser for quidco purchases

What, so just because you dont understand something, does that mean you give up at the first attempt? Comparing brain surgery with Quidco is not a fine example!

How are you going to understand something if you dont ask questions or 'try'?

Got to agree with you there. The risk/gain balance has not been thought about in this particular case.

Hi,

@punji - I'm a Quidco rep and I hope you don't mind me jumping in here. Cashback can seem a bit complicated at first, but think of it this way and then it makes more sense.

You go through, say, a comparison site then click through to the retailer's site and make the purchase. The retailer tracks the cookies you leave behind on the internet back to the comparison site. They are paid a comission called a referral fee, which is how they make their money.

Make the same purchase via Quidco and Quidco receives it and passes 100% of it back to you - cashback!

To make a purchase through Quidco you must clear all cookies and browser history before each visit to our site as the cookies from previous visits to other sites may be picked up by the retailer and the referral fee will be paid to them rather than to us.
To be on the safe side, we recommend that you use a completely separate browser for your Quidco shopping, but still make sure you clear your cookies etc. prior to logging in each time. We can never guarantee that your purchase will track but following these steps will cut down the risk of disappointment. You can find more information in our help pages under "making a purchase - best practice".

That said, if a purchase does not track, it doesn't mean it has tracked back to another referrer, so do raise a missing earnings enquiry via your account and we will go to the retailer to try to trace it for you. 87% of missing earnings enquiries are successful so it's worth doing.

Another tip - as cashback can never be guarateed, think of it as a bonus for buying something you were buying anyway and don't buy something just because the cashback makes it the cheapest option. Also, the process can be lengthy for some purchases, such as insurance and other financial products (approx. 6 months in some cases), but the wait is worth it!

I've rambled on a bit here, but I hope this was useful!

Kind regards,
Jules
:)
