Was just wondering since the official website doesn't mention it.

We have medical cards, which have numbers on them, what format is a NH number in and I'll check.

Cheers, Des.

Just got one out, they have an NHS no in this format: A2009/A1/1234 or A99/12345/1

Cheers, Des.

I am not sure. I have a card for my national insurance card and if I ever needed to get medical care (hospital or clinic) they have never asked for a national health number so I have no idea.

Normally when you register with a GP you will be sent out a medical card?

Cheers, Des.

As long as the computer says yes, you don't have a problem. I've never been asked for my card or my number, just my name, address and DOB.

Cheers, Des.
