Do people moan too much?

I do personally moan as people see, but its for what I see as problems.

I see silly things when people write reviews for something, be it a holiday, game book whatever.

Hotels is one when I book online I check reviews and I have seen £20 rooms at a hotel, then people write reviews saying the room needed modernising and the bathroom was small etc.

Seems to be they expect the Ritz for a double room for £20!

Or someone buys a £10 console game and completes it in 5 hours then says its bad because it only lasted 5 hours.

Theres so many other things that go that way also.

Well to be honest im gonna have a moan right now is im getting very furstrated with trying to sell anything on this forum as people want something for nothing and then there's the members who like to barge into your for sale thread and go oh here i found this on ebuyer its £15 cheaper than your asking price and new :x its annoying since i actually paid more for that item.
Or wrecking your thread by saying stuff like "your having a laugh" it's "counterfeit" when it's actual a genuine Dell item just because its re-installation disc doesn't mean it has to have COA but it has original documentation, or i know lets wreck this posters thread by guessing and pointing out how easy it is to find out the missing number, i actually started using this part of the forum as i see people selling stuff without problems like with getting payment on ebay or fees and stuff for very low value items.
Im serious sometimes people offer you a price which doesn't even cover the postage price, i'm starting to think that they wouldn't even buy their own mothers a £1 cup of coffee because they can get a jar down the road for £1 and make 50 cups with it.
Sorry im not well at the moment, found something to do to pass the time and now its causing me stress ontop of it all as i put the work into it and it takes a couple of time wasters to wreck it.
Im fed up

Simply report the posts and they will be removed if they are off topic. A lot quicker than writing that novel.

most members post to help, and i for one know full well the sim cards are free, so give it up on the so story eh, you know where the report button is if you feel it is thread spoiling then hit it

Most people who do tell people where to find things cheaper than the price you are selling them at are only trying to help. How are we to know you didnt just buy it from ebuyer and jack the price up £15 to make a profit.

I find it amazing that people have the cheek to do things like that. So what if you bought it for alot more than what you can get it for today. Have you not heard of depreciation?

Well megaceller:
As I understand it , this isn't really an e-bay type set up here. Admin has said that the for sale/trade is sort of an optional add on for members and we really won't miss it if it went away - or words to that effect. so, megaceller if you want to SELL a lot or be a SUB terranean cache of wine/laundry, you just have to think - am I on the web-site for me??
Oh and who started this thread?

Well there could be the fact that i bought locally and have never bought from ebuyer before as they ripp off postage to Northern ireland, also the fact its roughly 3 months old and shows light scratches on disk and on cap of usb port.
What you think is up to you!
The actual simcards i have for sale were 2 i bought, as you might have noticed i gave away 3 for free didn't even ask for postage amount earlier this week as i couldn't be bothered with trying to sell freebies.
And chesso i aint got a clue what your on about i was only flogging some stuff like other members who use the FS section aswell as wanting items and i also have used the deals off this site and got some great deals even my parents look at it after i recomended it to them.
Well i was tempted to hit the report button button but i found no point as its a site that has their price that used to be £19.99 plus postage, i suppose that could be used in comparrison and listing your item above their price. im more annoyed at the fact i paid so much for it and searched over the internet at the time for them and the only ones i was finding were £40 + postage and then plus Vat. so ended up buying it for £50 locally :x didn't even know about ebuyer until i joined this site or quidco which i praise for lol its great.

You are right that people should reduce the amount of moan and criticism. Let us all try to encourage more bargains for others to share.

1) Let us try not to slap people with a wet fish when a similar bargain had been posted before. If it were to be a bargain before it can be a bargain today. I see too many ... I have seen this before and better price, so it is not a big hot deal this time round. However for many of us we may not have read the thread at £1 or so cheaper posted before. e.g. The Motorola F3 deal where it was once hot and where many people have voted cold recently even though it is still a hot deal for many.

2) I think for items where the deal is >30% off normal, average price it is starting to get hot irrespective of whether it is a bit cheaper or more expensive. We must encourage these starting threads. We have all benefitted enormously when someone posted a hot deal, and then others come in on the thread with better deals. We must not forget the initiator of the thread who have provoked the posting of better deals. So we must not be kinder with our words for the starter of the thread. Of course there are trivial ones from time to time.

3) There are many smart buyers and experienced people on this forum. Their advice and expertise must be tapped for our benefit. For example, when it comes to memory quality and price it is unfair to knock down a good quality product like 4GB of Class 4 or 6 speed and try to moan that it is too expensive relative to a cheap unbranded product with no speed specification.

I better write no more or else people with moan:thumbsup:

I love moaning and enjoy reading others moans. In fact one persons moan is anothers pertanant feedback.

Don't even know why i bothered doing that last night as i had to end up deleting my threads because the many people who responded to this wrecked those threads too, but ahh well.

Sorry Megaceller, but this is a bargain site and when you're trying to sell something 2nd-hand for more than it can be bought somewhere else brand new then I think everyone would want to know where. That way they can buy it and have full consumer protection (distance-selling rules, etc.), this is not any judgement on your character at all. If you don't want folk pointing these alternatives out then you should consider using Fleabay to sell your stuff.

To take up a point made earlier, it doesn't matter what price you bought something for, if it's cheaper elsewhere at the time then that's the market value. When you sell a car you sell it according to the list price, it's the same principle.

As for the selling of reinstallation discs, valid points were raised by many people on that thread to say that the thing you actually buy from Microsoft is the COA, the disc is kinda worthless as if the person doesn't already own a COA then they can't use the disc legally. Also COAs come in different forms and if someone already has a COA it's not guaranteed to work with the disc you're selling so you could have been selling a usless disc, it's right enough for people to point this out in the thread, but saying 'counterfeit' etc., is unfair on you, without a doubt!

I'm sure that kind of thing is enough to break the space-time continuum.

Yea i understand what your saying, i do already use ebay rated 699 on there im just getting sick of people buying and not paying on there at the moment as it constantly happens, just thought would be handier as i was sorting out my room and there is a good feeling when you know someone might be interested plus there's no fee's on the forum so it would mean that the offer amount would work out better for me as although i always set asking price at such and such i always say (ONO) Or nearest offer, as im one of those poeople if someone asks you how much i dunno what to ask for so i say make me an offer lol.
As for the Installation disc i understand what you mean, it's an re-installation disc that someone has bought from dell and sold to me for £25, alhough it seems it's not illegal to sell them as even on the disc it says "Dell Part Number" and even says that you need your own Coa thats printed on side of the computer, i bought it because i have a VLK and i thought it would work but i needed a special installation disc to use a VLK serial and unfortunly can't obtain it :( .
To be honest i was in a bad moodlast night needed to chill off to be honest, just have'nt been well this last couple of days and haven't been getting sleep so im crabbit when im normally not, got a bit of sleep and more relaxed today lol
