I'm aware they use same network, but not sure is an o2 phone will accept Tesco sim?

Been looking on the googlez people mention things like "o2 is not double locked"......have no idea what that means.

If anyone has any experience or knowledge on this could you let me know.

In my experience, no. Still different networks although using the same communication masts.

A couple of years ago I moved all our o2 locked phones (5 phones, 3 different makes) and they all worked on the Tesco payg sim.
Two lg's, two samsungs and I think the other one was a SonyEricson.

Then we joined hukd, got OSF's and we could go anywhere wooooooohooooooooooo! In your face telephone locking man!!!!:p

Happy days!

Bleedin phone packed in today so had to fork out for a new one. Got a nice £10pm 750 mins/5000 texts with Tesco so wanted to stay with them prefferably

What did you go for, the Nokia Lumia 800 looks lovely at phones4you? Was thinking about that or the HTC Radar, but I don't really need one as the Defy is working fine - albeit locked to EE and still using 2.2.2 :(

Yeh went for the Radar mate, only £109. And coming from a Wildfire it's a BIG upgrade, no sluggishness. I know it's only windows software but I have the nexus for all things APPS. Had a play with the Lumia couple months back and was very smooth, was hoping HTC would be the same and I'm not dissapointed.

Defy looks a decent phone, perhaps coulda gone with that as I'm prone to knocking my pocket, Looks a bit more sturdy than the Radar

EDIT - biggest downside is having to use the Zune bloatware

It doesn't work the other way around though. Try an O2 sim in a Tesco phone.
