I dont think you can apply for one as an individual, the organisation you are applying to usually send it off for you, Ive had a few done, filled in the form and shown the ID and the employer/organisation has sent it off everytime
#2
in scotland its called a disclosure- costs around £30 pretty easy fill in the forms send it off with proof of your identity

you or the employer can send off for it

i assume its something similar in England

heres a link for England/Wales

its strange how over the last few years people have become accustomed to supporting the army, just like any other government institute they're actions are to be freely scrutinized

If you hate the people that defend this country so much, please feel free to move to Afghan or Iraq.

The armed forces deserve all the praise they get and more, underfunded and overstretched by a poor government.

I dont hate the people but as we live in a democracy I will operate my rights accordingly and scrutinize the army, and its not positive. Why should I move to Afgan or Iraq in that case?

You are as entitled to your opinion as is anyone else.

Like LLM said - want to do something about it - do it. Otherwise you don't really have a point

See how well you can express your opinion in these countries.

I do do something about it, I will be looking to use my vote for a party that will seek to minimise the army's involvement in the current conflicts, and further will be looking to minimise it as an organisation as a whole

what has that got to do with living in this country? They did not declare war on us in an attempt to remove those rights etc

They want to know if he has been a good boy.

They have told him to ask the police for a copy of his record.

I thought the army would pay for a CRB check.

I will ring the army careers office tomorrow.
