Do we have any SAW nerds?

I do not mean the tool, I mean the films.

I am totally addicted to them.

Just read the new film will be called Saw 3D - the traps come alive. Gutted they've altered the title.

Just so looking forward to the film.

Anyone else?

they have done the idea to death imho-first coupla films were ok,but its time to leave it alone now.

I have to say, the acting in 1 was shocking so they've improved that.

Just the story is immense, I enjoy them a lot

The fifth film is utterly atrocious. Why the hell does the protganist feel the need to speak aloud EVERYTHING he finds (that the viewer ha also sees, clues and whatnot...) to empty rooms? WHY?!?!? First one was novel, now in the same league as Final Destinations - think of horrible lose-lose situations and plot a film around them. They're released every halloween, rush jobs by commitee to show people dying. So nope, sorry oO

i like them, yeah they have probably made way too many saw movies but as long as they'll all different and people die in excellent ways i'll keep watching them, not really interested in 3d though

I agree with 5. 5 in my opinion is the worst. It was pointless and they hyped it up way too much. The whole 'you won't beleive how it ends' babbbaaaaaa!!

Pulp Fiction = Immense
Full Metal Jacket = Immense
American History X =Immense

Saw = Average at best. Anybody who rates it higher needs to watch a real film.

Don't tell me I need to watch 'a real film' what kinda line is that? I watch a lot of films.

Yeah some people make a lot of money from producing utter crap, but they cannot be that crap when they are on the 7th film and a theme park has to dedicated rides.

I am just saying that to carry out an idea and a story for 7 films is pretty impressive.

Of course one of the lead characters (Adam) in the original "Saw" release was a co-writer with no, or very little, acting experience to that point (except a couple of episodes of "Neighbours" & a few other minor roles).

In that regard, he (Leigh Whannell) did very well, I thought.

Adam wasn't the let down. Gordon was. But I am impressed to see he's back for the final film as it will complete the story.

It may have been a prop thing as well. Like when Gordon had supposedly just sawn his leg off and you could obviously see it trailing behind him. First film and budgets and all that jazz??

(Dr) Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) is back for the [cough] final [/cough] film too. Unless you mean Elwes when you said "he's back"; in which case, both original characters are back.

I don't think Elwes can be blamed for the lack a budget of the first though... mind you, the lack of money may explain the choice of actors :)

The new title is posted around a few webistes. fingers crossed it is a misunderstanding!!

And fanpages, I understand you cannot blame characters for budgets. And yes I did mean Gordon and that's what is making this upcoming film so exciting. The fact he may be the one still in the loop and all that jazz.

I loved the original, 2nd and 3rd were ok but don't waste your time watching the others.

The twists and turns that the individual films provide are too good to be called a waste of time.

I was impressed to see DTV Matthews still alive and the back story of Amanda being behind the scenes was pretty cool.

I really disagree, the first one made me get pretty pumped at the end, I thought it was well done, can't say I ever saw a movie like it before, and I am a huge fan of the movies above and many more, but the SAW1 was something different.

After number 1 I can't say the others are decent, cheap movies made to rake in money, 3D might make it more interesting though.

Terrible movies but as long as there are people that lap them up like the OP they'll continue to turn out this dross every year.

I do agree that the end was immense and that's what makes it a top film. Just the acting seems a bit.....I dunno...hard to explain cos I don't just wanna say total pants aha.

Defo one ending you didn't think would happen!!
