I'd imagine so as it isn't an internal flight.

turns out I was wrong.

"UK citizens do not require a passport or visa to enter Ireland, but most carriers by air or sea now require some form of identification with photograph (usually either a passport or driving licence with photo). Visitors are advised to check what form of ID is required with the individual airline, ferry company, tour operator or travel agent before travelling. "
Ryanair will be phasing out airport check-in soon so it will only be passports they accept with online check-in cant what for that to happen and see the next ryanair deal thread...
ive travelled from dublin to leeds on a driving licience in the past - i really dont think you need one.esp for ryanair-there was a thread here not so long ago about ryanair to confirm as im not sure about the kids..
Phone Ryanair for assistance and bring lots of money, Dublin is stupidly expensive.
thanks for all your help x
Kids don't have a driving licence I imagine so they will need some sort of photo ID, namely a passport.
you need a passport or driving licence if you fly but if you go by ferry you do not need one..
when i went dublin i did take my passport but it never left my bag once nor was i ever asked for it once so i coulda left it at home
i flew from East Midlands to Dublin a couple of years ago and we needed passports.
