I have one where I am walking home from school. It used to be that I had been to school for the day and I always take the same route home, then things would happen en-route.

Well I woke this morning, dreaming that I had picked the kids up from school, doing the same route home when my son went off on his bike and my niece went into the graveyard. She started digging curiously around a tree, at what appeared to be mushrooms at first to me, then another girl piped up - Oh we're digging for Mercury it's been around for about 40 years you know!

Weird.

strange

I wonder if anyone can decipher these dreams - apparently they may mean something.

i reguarly suffer sleep paralysis, often my dreams are realistic, im certainly aware and they are often terrifying. Its only because i know what it is that i dont stress over it.

usually see my kids at side of bed in the dark and cant move to get them.
Often used to see my now passed away nanna.
often see random people enter my bedroom.
Always happens in dark rooms, and if by some stroke of luck im able to leave my bed in dreams, lights never work. This is what i use to determine a dream is a dream, i go for a light switch and it doesnt come on i know its dream. I can 'wake up' several times and do this in a loop before i actually wake.

Yes i used to have a really scary one ....i always ended up in this massive three storey house and every single time everything in it was in the same place ...the first 2 floors were normal and had a good vibe but the third floor was just pure evil. For some reason i always had to go into this one bedroom on the 3rd floor and it was literally a bed a dressing table and a mirror all 70's style, but there were clothes strewn all over the place I always woke up at this point crying and feeling the cold i had felt in my dream. I had this dream regularly for about 10 years.

just read it back to myself and it doesn't sound scary lol but it really used to freak me out

All 3 replies so far have not been good experiences then!

My recurring dream 'theme' is not a bad dream at all.

I used to have the falling dream when I was younger - but I guess we all have that one.

Yeah - I don't think I'd buy a book about dreams - I have so much crap already in my house = lol.

What do you talk about? Is it ever embarrassing? Lol. :-D

wow i have actually had dreams where something horrible is chasing me and i wake up and for a split second it's in the room with me, and i can also go back into a dream if i choose.

Wow really weird!

I haven't been able to get out of bed on 2 occasions in bed before - a really weird sensation. It was my shoulders that were paralysed but my legs could move. Like I was being held down by the shoulders!

thats sleep paralysis. if not used to it, and sometimes when you are used to it, its a very disturbing feeling. They believe its the cause for many so called 'ufo abductions'

forgot about this in an old home where i used to work i had some awful nightmares of being held down but nothing was there and i could hear something evil calling my name down the corridor,it was also weird as usually in dreams u are somewhere else but i was always in the place where i had fallen asleep, infact many of the other girls would have the same nightmare and none of us would walk around alone
the residents would also complain of things happening in the night such as loud banging on their doors etc

First time I can recall it happening to me I was pregnant with AM and couldn't move from the waste down. I could move my arms but not speak. It was terrifying but kinda used to it now lol

I have recurring dreams about spiders *shudder*

I used to have one like that where I lose control of my body like im falling off a curb into a car, but now I can tell whats a dream when im in the dream even the good things. I even thought something was a dream and then realised it was real (today).

I had a dream where there was a giant pig in the garden and then had another with it whats more is i'm also a muslim. I've also had a few in a jungle trying to escape with a group of people

+1, some of my scariest nightmares involve the sea and open oceans.

I used to have a dream/nightmare where they were burying my mum because she was dead but really, she wasn't dead and was shouting me from the coffin and only I could hear her.

Everytime they buried her and i woke up, I never managed to save her =/

I used to keep dreaming that I had forgotten to feed the cat - my beautiful, sadly not with me now, purry. He was 18 when he died and the dream is dradful - I panic. But I had had enough so I bought some cat food, I dont get the dream as long as I keep cat food in the house. Gave it to a stray once then the dream returned so bought some more.

How traumatic

I've dreamt that 2 teeth fell out! and I jammed them back in! (dreamt this week... it was so real.. I woke up and had to put my hand in my mouth to check)
Ive also dreamt that i've pulled out all my teeth! (had to check to make sure)
Sometimes I dream about waking up in the morning, getting ready for work.. and i wake up.. and have to do it all over again!
Another one... I remember giving a pen or phone to someone in a dream.. saying "here it is" waking up with my hands in the air as if i was offering the item in reality!!
