I'm so excited, but don't worry guys I bought an acer aspire one so I can stay on hotukdeals whilst away!!!

Went to the travel agents with a rough idea and no dates planned and did it all today, awesome.

And I'll post pictures instead of making up non existant trips!

write a blog about it ..... and earn money while doing it  (google blog ads) :p

wish i could afford to travel....

Hope you have a great time, are you staying in hostels or hotels?? If you need help on hostels I can let you know which ones to stay in. Especially NZ/Aus LA and NYC

Depends on costs, I'd prefer hotels, as I'm a little dubious of security in hostels and don't want my stuff been stolen! Staying with Family in Sydney though, not sure about NZ /LA /NYC.

Hostels are great places! Stuff is generally stolen if you make it available..... when your not in your dorm lock your things away! I stayed in hostels for 95% of my trip and never had a thing stolen from me! Great way of meeting interesting people.... NYC hotels are expensive! When in NYC check out big apple hostel..... I stayed there infact I may be there around when you are (27th June-6th July)...
$40 USD per night four beds to a dorm.

in NZ reccomend staying in 'Base Hostels' located in most major towns/cities... usually between NZ$25 and NZ$30 per night... try to stay in the four bed dorms...

DCX linked to this thread, so it's best he posts pics here on topic...rather than hijack another posters thread.

Nooo. Dcx linked me to here because I asked how long did he go for... :p

Well why didn't you ask him when he linked you? or PM him? why bump a 3+ year old thread.

Pointless.

Why not?
Doesn't cause no harm when it's genuine.

Virgin Blue sell very reasonable flights between Melbourne and Sydney. Not too much to see between the two places. $114 on 12th May. I think that is around £75 for a single ticket.

You will have a great time. I spent one year in Australia in 2001 and was fortunate enough to go back to Sydney last year for 3 weeks.

I suspect he may be back home now.

It is a shame that your not planning a trip to the Barrier Reef during your visit.

You can get a weekly travel card in Sydney which costs around $55 which gives you free travel on buses, trains and Sydney ferry.

I hope you have a great time.
