Updates on San Francisco?

Fantastic trip, maybe post some pictures of a couple of the places? My new avatar is a picture taken in HK Disneyland:-D We had a good trip and Disney was good, though no rides to compare with the ones in Florida

Best photos we took were on the funicular going to see the "Big Budha". Took plenty of the light show in HK harbour and some from the peak, but didn't come out too well:?
Look forward to seeing a few of yours:thumbsup:

Remember you saying to take pictures from the ferry:roll: We were too busy eating icecream and trying to keep cool. The heat was probably the only downside to Hong Kong for me. The metro and the hotel room were pretty much the only places where I could cool down.
How does England seem to you now after tripping right round the world?

It was 41°c in Vegas, Dunno what it was like for you in Hong Kong but when we were there it was mid 20's at a guess but definately under 30,

It's weird even when I was away it felt like I'd barely left, the main difference is all the greenery everywhere as the tree's and stuff hadn't really grown much when I left.

I wasn't too good with the humidity, absolutely loved the water parade at Disney as it cooled everyone down:p
Can't imagine 41C to be honest

Spent most my time in my air conditioned room haha, would go out from like 8pm till 1am each day. But then it was still at like 38°c then anyways.

I can relate to that:roll:
Started off looking at hostel rooms for HK, but chickened out at the thought that the air con might not be powerful enough;-)
Ended up in a 4star hotel in the New Territories. Partly because we found one for the same price as most of the hostels though:thumbsup:

Our hostel had good air conditioning, we got a twin room which was little and in Chunking mansions (wikipedia it or maybe don't ha ha). But the room was tiny but really nice and clean, was like £94 for 3 nights for both of us.

We were on floor 6 though, it's like one owner and 5 different hostels on diff floors.

We found a room through ebookers. Price was about the same. Brilliant air con, pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, playroom etc. It was out of the way, so we took the metro into the centre. Didn't need all the extras as we wanted to see HK more than we wanted to see the hotel:-D I thought HK was really clean and everything was really efficient. Loved the food, so fresh and cheap too.I would definitely recommend anyone to go:thumbsup: Probably not in June though!

In my mind it never stopped.

Obviously you weren't in Kowloon then, that whole part was filthy and run down! Pimps and hookers on the streets by 9pm and everything.

Here's a quick summary of my trip:

May 5th - Take off from Heathrow
May 6th - Land in Hong Kong
May 9th - Leave for Melbourne
Melbourne hostel was horrible go to airport spend night there
May 10th - Fly to Sydney a few days early
June 7th - Fly to Christchurch from Sydney
June 7th - Fly to Queenstown from Christchurch
June 13th - Fly to Christchurch from Queenstown
June 15th - Fly to Aukland from Christchurch
June 15th - Fly to Los Angeles from Aukland
June 21st - Coach to San Francisco from Los Angeles
June 28th - Fly to Las Vegas from San Francisco
July 3rd - Night in airport
July 4th - Fly to New York from Vegas
July 4th - Fly to Heathrow from New York
July 5th - Land, then coach to Leeds
All part of the local colour then. lol Probably better that we missed it though as I was with my daughter
and her two little girls.
Don't think I could have managed that itinerary either!
