Aww.. You're not such a badass after all. ;-)

We're not sure, I think that's what the vet guessed at. We think it's a cross breed, all the other siblings are black like the mum but ours is grey so we think maybe the dad was wild, but not sure. His ears are a bit longer than a quick google images search and he's pretty big already, although not too big, but year I think a Netherland dwarf cross breed.

Makes sense; he could end up as a not-so-Dwarf !!
Alfie's a very lucky little bunny to have come through.

2 out of 6 died, 1 in the hole in the ground and one in the hutch a week later.

Here's the 5, minus the one that died in the hole, one of these died, we have one, someone else has one and the idiot neighbours stole the other 2 back, even though they let us look after them for 6 weeks, then came and got them and said they were born from our rabbit, they didn't even know because it roams everywhere, it goes to the train station and they just shrug, that's how the mum died. They went on holiday and left one of these babies roaming the garden. I'm taking them back next time I'm home.

Anyway here's how little they were:

Aww.... factor goes off the scale!! I see your little grey one there.:-D
Your neighbours do sound rather like idiots and uncaring as well. I'm going to say something a bit hard here though; I think that if they haven't been handled properly then the two that the neighbours stole back might have 'gone wild' and won't be nice pets, might even attack Alfie. I'm not a very rabbity person though, so perhaps I'm wrong. Your sentiments are in the right place, though.

You might need to bond them again. So don't leave them together unattended for a while and slowly introduce them to each other again.

So want to get another bunny but had a second one which I adopted and found she had a tumour when I was getting her neutered and she ended up dying from it 8 months later :-(

Besides 1 I have now is the boss of the house so don't think he'd be too happy with someone talking over his space

You'll have to have a subtle campaign before you get back.

How's the rabbit mum? How's next door's rabbits, which are really ours? Mums are always putty when the heart-strings are pulled! Well, I am.

I've gone for the direct approach, she text me saying he keeps running around instead of been picked up, so I said it's because he doesn't like you because you're killing his family. :whistling:

Good job she's used to you.:w00t: I'm sure that will win her over.

Speaking of Bunnies....... My little'uns "Bugsy" is now banned from his run unil I create a new one for him. In the last week, we've had to chase him around the garden, totally baffled how he had managed to escape..... and then I saw it!

From a standing start, he's able to leapfrog straight over the wood and wire. (I was nagged to do it yesterday, but couldnt get the materials.) Just going to make it a bit higher, though a "lid" may be a better option as it would mean we could effectively let him stay out without too much fear of Mr Fox having him for lunch!

I think you mean 'bunnyhop'!!
I'd like a pic of the chase. We used to have to try to trap our next door but one's when they would come through many years ago. Luckily they were too fast for out black lab, but good exercise for him. Thowing the blanket was the best method.
They are the Houdinis of the pet world. Total enclosure is the way to go methinks. If I were a fox, I would be fancying my chances.

We had a little triangle one but it's too small that's why he always runs round so much when he gets inside. Just got a new bigger rectangle one, but it has no sides or lid so if it rains he gets wet, so need to sort that out. Our Guiney pigs used to have a huge one that we made, but we got rid of it when they died.

Christmas holiday project for you. It must only be a week or so to go until the end of term??

Nah lectures till 9th December, exam on the 16th. We're gonna make a wooden box to put in it, or buy one.

Oh yes, I've got a 'bit' ahead of myself!

It seems very common now to get exams at the end oif the first term - pressure right from the off.

Not an enclosed box??

I built the hutch and run for it. Obviously the height of the run is just a little bit too low!:w00t:

Instead of using the wire I bought for this job, I'm just going to start again from scratch. The run itself is attached to the hutch by hinges, so Im able to move the sides into slightly different areas.

Yes, bunny hop will do! :p

It came with no warning. One second it was sitting on its backside, the next is was running on the other side of the run!
