Wait till January mate? got to remember they push up prices then slash them after christmas or in the sales to make it look like you're making a bigger saving than you actually are. £368 down to £253 is a £115 saving, looks good when put on the site. Where in fact its been that price last year.

For the last 6 months?

You asked if 'anyone else noticed this on anything' - and in general, prices rise at Xmas, and it ain't a surprise.

I think the price rise has more to do with the value of the Pound to the Yen, they get less Yen for each of your Pounds, so the prices in pounds have risen to give the same number of Yen.

A year ago there was about 135 yen to the pound, now its 146 yen. So the exchange rate has moved very little in percentage terms over the past year, nothing compared to the price hike. So the exchange rate isn't the reason...

I put an example from a year ago though, it was Christmas then aswell.

Can only assume then, that it's Canon's pricing policy in force. Their prices are wildly variable it seems.

Yeah inflation's a bitch.

I personally only notice this on Amazon, everytime i've bought something, the price has either gone up or gone down! So fustrating!

amazon is defo a bit mental with the price changes - things go up and down by quite large amounts much more that other retailers seem to do.

there seems to be more of a pattern with other retailers - like the end of a line or a new model coming out.
