If you're going to watch the film, definitely watch it in 3D

Booked to watch it tomoz with the kids, but I've given up on 3D at the Cinema, I forget its in 3D after about 20 minutes, I think the last film I watch was Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Anyhoo, I have no expectations of this film, as I never really got into Steven Strange Stuff, he was more of an auxiliary character to me I think its because of the magic stuff, but I do like the idea of the Illuminati being brought in the MCU as clearly it means Phase 4 we are going to get a Planet Hulk movie, and that has me very excited.

I am concerned though about this film making an impact, as I have seen hardly any marketing, and Strange is a lesser known comic character to those who dont follow this stuff. but then again, Ant Man did well as did Guardians, so hopefully people will give it a chance.

I'm assuming the Thor Ragnarok film would be like half Thor film and half Planet Hulk, mainly because MCU Hulk is with Thor in Asgaard and the MCU doesn't strictly follow the comics. But a possible Planet Hulk standalone film would be awesome, and if done right it could end the memory of bad Hulk movies in the 00's.

Stay right to the end as there are 2 extra bits to watch. Saw it today with a 11 yrs & 6 yrs old, it was ok nothing spectacular in my opinion though.

Tbf it is an origin introductory film so I didn't expect anything awesome regarding the story and how it ties into Infinity War (although an obvious reference to the Time stone with the Eye of Agamotto) but definitely worth a watch just for the visuals alone

So after watching it, I would say its a good film but one of the weakest in the current MCU, but it is clearly to line up the link that Dr Strange will have now throughout the Infinity Wars story. My kids said its visually one of the best they have seen, and really enjoyed it.

I never thought about Ragnarok being a PLANET HULK side line in the movie, but it makes sense with the after credit scene with Thor and Strange helping, it could lead to Strange banishing HULK from earth, and could also have some explanation how it goes from Savage Hulk to Intelligent Hulk. at least i hope so :)

Just back from an IMAX 3D presentation.

I am glad I saw it on the big screen, rather than waiting for the home video release.

..."Thor: Ragnarok" & "Avengers: Infinity War" so far.

Only one Infinity Stone to go, then they will spell "THANOS".

There is a rumour going around that Disney have secured the rights from FOX to Fantastic Four & X-Men (same way they have a deal with Sony for Spiderman), and FF4 are going to be in Infinity War, and X-Men being introduced into Phase 4 MCU movies.

Also what I recently read about Thor" Ragnarok it sounds like its a crossover (as hass mentioned above) with the Planet Hulk storyline (at least there are some characters from Planet Hulk in it), sounds like Marvel wanted a Phase 3 Hulk movie, but Universal still owns publishing rights to the Solo Movies, so this way they are killing two birds with one stone.

So next year is going to be a great year for Marvel Movies + DC Wonder Woman & Justice League.

So Tesseract, "H", Aether, Necklace (Agamotto?), Orb (in GotG), Scepter (now on Visions's head)?

What would H be? It's confirmed that no other Infinity Stones would be dealt with in Guardians Vol 2. Maybe something in Thor Ragnarok like Heimdall or Hela (something she's wearing like a headpiece?)? Hela is like a queen of death and can twist souls for her own personal gain, Thor Ragnarok is the last film before Infinity War so it kinda makes sense that the Infinity Stone puzzle could be complete in the film. Thor, Loki, Dr Strange cameo, Planet Hulk, beef with Hela and destruction of Asgard, and maybe an introduction to Thanos at the end? Thor Ragnarok could be HUGE!

It is why Hulk & Thor were not in "Captain America: Civil War" (as they both left at the end of "Avengers: Age of Ultron").

Yes, but we don't know where Hulk went too.. my theory is he turns up in New York well at least Banner does with Thor, Loki & Strange all finding Odin, and then maybe Loki tricks him causing him to turn green and Strange banishes him from Earth, Thor agrees to take him to Asgard or another place off Earth.

The illuminati Banish Hulk in the comics, so it would be in line with that.. the only thing I do not like with that is that Hulk is bound to be back to deal with Thanos, and World War Hulk is what follows Planet Hulk, so it would rule out a World War Hulk style movie.

It's not canon, but it could be referenced in Thor 3 to make it canon.

It was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year:
