What a brilliant episode! Didn't see it coming either

Nooooooooooooooo! I think David Tennant is the best Dr Who since Tom Baker and he is soooooo gorgeous. I never go gaga over actors usually so I feel like I'm 16 all over again.

That's what I was thinking and I hope we're right although his side kick did say at one point to the press that she thought he wouldn't stay much longer but hopefully get another season out of him but don't know who could match him next.
#6
cant wait for the next episode
#7
There's no series next year anyway so i think he will take that break to decide. Im pretty sure he will be there next week Just looked at this and it says he's in the next episode

I know what you mean. I think I will go back and watch him in Cassanova.

I loved the way this episode brought everyone who is Dr Who related back in. A bit like the new hulk film - sorry for anyone who hasn't seen it yet!

Completely agree. Excellent episode bringing all related characters together! Although it Captain Jack that floats my boat. I just love Torchwood! The Dr is great eye-candy too I must admit! lol

To be fair, if they managed to keep him leaving a secret until now, they are hardly likely to spoil it by putting up a cast list with another actor playing the doctor!
#16
brilliant episode!

I'm pretty sure (hope) the regeneration is not complete...

please don't wind me up. you are not funny!
#18
My friends daughter said he isnt doing another series! but whether she is right or not ....
#19
he better be doing the next series. right where does he live we will all go kick his butt
#20
There is a site which has the spolier for next weeks episode which i havent read but my wife just did to put her mind at rest and it mentions nothing of their being a new Dr.
As i said im pretty sure David Tennant is signed up to Xmas specials as thats all they are doing until 2010 (apart from the spinoffs of Torchwood and The Sarah Jane one).
He's the only reason my wife watches it too lol
#21
They focused on the hand for a few seconds at the start of the episode, so I'd imagine that it will be used in someway at the start of the next episode Tennant lovers!

They cant keep anything a secret. You knew bilie was leaving before the series even started (when she was a regular) and you knew before this series started that Martha was only going to be in a few, Catherine Tate was the new assistant and that Billie was coming back for a few episodes too.

I'm watching the Dr Who confidential and it looks fun to work on. I could do with some fun in my job!
#25
Next weeks episode is 65minutes long and there's a bonus trailer on tomorrow which may shed some light although I doubt it will spoil the regeneration cliffhanger

Thing is that they don't really want to keep everything secret. They always let out a few leaks of ho could be next one to guage viewer reaction as well. They don't want whoever they choose to be useless.

That's my point exactly. We all knew David Tennant was taking over from Christopher Eccleston before it happened so I doubt they would just throw a new Dr in without any feedback. Especially seen as though Russell T Davies is leaving and so whoever takes over will want to have a big influence on who any future Dr is.

We will all have to be patient :p

We could offer him 66p of every taxpayers money each to keep him!

I said the same thing on the doctorwhoforums

Stragenly though for Daleks that fought in the front lines of the Time War you would of thought they could of killed him outright, .

I have a theory!

Maybe its due to the paradox of Davros surviving, Doc 11 will find a way to send him back and seal the crack, as that was also why Rose came through and since time went the way it should Doc 10 is back
#31
Hmm. Lots of theories!!

Although, the only reason there's no Doctor Who series next year is because Tennant is unavailable for filming this summer. If they were to write him out, they wouldn't have needed the break. :)

if your looking for theories, look at the bbc newsround sight. there are some hillarious and far fetched theories and some very innocent ideas too. i hope they are NOT our next generation of doctor who writers and producers!

ducky i love you
#35
although i dont want to wait a year
#36
Well David is in the 4 Specials (I think that includes the Christmas one this year) next year anyways - which they filmed around him doing his RSC Hamlet in Stratford. So they can't kill him off for good

They are currently filming another series of Sarah Jane adventures, so makes me wonder if everything will be undone timewise possibly as she was about to get blasted by a Dalek. Plus, who's going to be facing external deaths - Rose or Donna - & isn't that how they described what happened to the dalek that went back in time to save Davros & subsequently got his brain scrambled?

I read a rumour about which of those two companions bite the dust...:whistling:

It's definataly got something to do with the hand because the one that got cut of was in a jar on the floor of the tardis and quite clearly in shoot at somepoint earlier on in tonigts programme as i remember thinking why are they showing that then when he started to regenerate they focused on his hand (the attatched one not the one in the jar):?
#39
Christopher Eccleston will be back for next week's episode. FACT. :p

Remember the Doctor said that the 26 planets (or however many of them there were) were 1 min out of sync with the rest of the universe, and hence "hidden"?? Well my theory is that they'll find away to bring the planets one minute back, thus bringing them into sync.

That way, the planets would also be visible to other forces such as the Jadoon (?) who could help fight the Daleks and there'd be a big universal war.
