Yeah Lol :)

Predictable except the Caan bit but I didnt like how Hand Doctor ended up with Rose and how hes completly human.
#3
I think his daughter will have a big role in thenext season

Was surprised the Doctor's daughter didn't make an appearance tonight, to be honest!!

It's almost as if Russell T Davies got the "Ideas Book" and used up every single possible idea, before writing out a lot of the characters that he created in preparation for leaving the show.

Was a good finale.
Glad the Dr didnt regenerate as some were predicting last week. The 'hand Dr' (lol) ending up with Rose was a little strange.

Shame there's a big break next year.

Doctor's new assistant is going to be Donna's grandad.
You heard it here first lol
#8
thought it was a cop out.

rose getting a human copy of the dr, poor poor, never satisfied the old romantic in me as its not the proper dr and i'd give it 6 months lol.

donna "dying" just as she was growing into being a part of it was also poor.

thankfully the pc left wing gay hippy davis is leaving the show to butcher other bbc right on dramas.

i loved it. i laughes and cried.

im glad DT stays but gutted donna wont be with him still i really liked her.

I still think we've been treated to the best 3 shows in the whole new incarnation of Dr Who.

Firstly the impact that would have been without him there then the double episode we've just been through.

All the horrors that could have happenned in one then all the people that were needed to stop them in the next!

A M A Z I N G ! ! !

& David Tennant for the start of the next series! What could be better?

That was a single theory of mine amongst many others already said didnt want to repeat what they said.

But it was easy to guess that something would happen and he would stay Rose and the Doctor would be together etc.

No one posted anything near to what actually happened, so I don't think it was predictable at all to most people. I had seen scene photos and cam recordings (and posted a link in the old thread) so had put together a lot of what happened but it still didn't pan out exactly how I thought.

Anyway, bet outpost gallifrey is going into meltdown after that finale lol

It was predicted many times at Outpost Gallifrey and a few people on here mentioned the hand being involved and not regenetating

Doctorwhoforum.com is down due to the volume of people on it.

Is that what OPG changed to? I knew they were changing but never go so wasn't sure if they had.

Yes it is.

Am I the only person that thought it was the biggest pile of stinking poo I've ever watched? I mean great if you're 12 but for anyone with even half a brain it was awful, something you'd expect to see primary school children perform.

I've not watched much of the new series as I think I've grown out of it, but if that is an example of what it has degenerated into then it's a pity they all didn't die. It comes to something when a dalek can act most of the cast off the screen.

agree with you up to a point, some of it is still really good and david tennant is really incredible but the bbc/ russel t davies has turned it into a left wing right on nonsense at times.

add that to the dumbing down for the kids/strictly come dancing brigade and wee get sci fi light.
#20
I agree Tennant is really good and the show has some great potential (hasn't it always) but they ruin it. You are spot on, it needs less dumbing down and some new writers.
#21
I didn't like the finale tbh, was kinda boring for the most part.
#22
I thought it was quite cruel the way Donna's mind had to be wiped actually, I thought that was quite harsh!

Rose and Doctor Hand going off into the sunset was rubbish.

Steven Moffatt (the writer for the 2010 series) is absolutely excellent!! He's so good that Spielberg and Peter Jackson have asked him to write the new Tin Tin movies they're working on (a whole new thread in itself!).

Two top directors asking you to re-write one of the most popular series of stories that was ever made... I don't think, as a writer, you could want any more!! :)

when i was reading that first bit i was thinking spielberg/jackson mmm great but then i remembered titanic, ai etc and then my heart sank further when you said it was to write tin tin.

just what dr who needs a writer of a kids movie.
#25
Haven't really watched it since Tate came into it, bloody annoying :x

Why are the stories always set on earth if he's a galactic traveller :?

I dunno, the people who read Tin Tin when it was popular will be geting older now... so maybe they'll try and make it satisfying for their tastes too.

One thing that I think will make a possible Tin Tin movie absolutely terrible is that they're going to computer animate it (but not quite in the traditional way). Depends if Spielberg's claim that they can animate it to a degree where it's photographic is true or not.

They start filming in September, but as I say... that's another thread.

Cardiff must be the centre of the galaxy, either that or it's cheap to film in.

RTD says that he doesn't want to do too many ones on other planets, because they don't have the budget to make high quality sets and it would just look tacky compared to something like Star Wars which has already done that much better. That's why whenever they do leave Earth they go to a space station or something...

If I recall correctly, he also commented that episodes set on Earth get higher ratings.
#29
my other half predicted it all. cos he went looking on forums, as i refused to watch if david tenant went so he HAD to give me reson to watch LOL

did anyone notice her ring sparkle as he said goodbye to donna??
