Hi, me again - a couple of qusetions if I may for you lovely clever people......

A friend of mine wants to have her teeth whitened - and I guess - by laser? Has anybody had this done or know anything about it? I take it Simon Cowell has - as his teeth look cleaner than Colgate!!

Also, she has never been too clued up when it comes to make up - and I was wondering if I could buy her one of those makeover things - or are there people/shops that you can go to that teach you all you need to know about make up and products and what not..... I know there was that really nice lady on one of those Channel 4 Series of 10 years younger - but .... I guess what I'm getting at is buying one of those (say) Virgin Make Over experiences a waste of money - or if she wants to look good....What is the best way of going about it?

What seems to be taken for granted by most of us (as in how to wear and apply make-up daily) has passed her by, and she just wants to look good. There are soooo many fantastic eye products for example out there - but when you literally have no makeup - where on earth do you start????

Apart for needing a big bank balance - which I take it I may need for teeth whitening for her?

Thanks for any advice or tips as I am just as clueless 2!!

Purrrrrrrrrr

As for make up why dont you have a body shop or virgin vie party they will do a make over on her and then tell her what is the best products and colours for her ...... and a good night for the girls x

I got my teeth professionally whitened for my wedding & have would not recommend it!!! My teeth are now sensitive (they weren't before), I have had to get quite a lot of dental work done since as the whitening treatments that are used strip away the enamel of your teeth.

My teeth were actually ok before I got them whitened but I just wanted the perfect white Hollywood smile for my wedding and now my teeth are much worse than they were before!

I would definitely tell anyone to seriously think about having their teeth whitened!!

I had my teeth zoom laser whitened a year or so ago.The went whiter than the whitest tooth on the tooth chart!!

You can go to a dentist and get them to custom fit gum sheilds (about £150) that you have to wear at night for two weeks with peroxide in the mould or the zoom whitening (£about £450) I did in my lunch hour and have never had any pain and my teeth are not at all sensitive!!

i flew to india and got mine done for £30! - including a bribe to get the dentist to the surgery at 10pm at night! :) i got the gel + laser treatment - worked a charm. remember fluride is your friend and will make your teeth considerably stronger and healthier. if you have been taking fluride (in your water primarily or maybe if you used loads of mouthwash) your teeth shouldnt be too sensitive afterwards
