I had this cover for about 8 years when it was originally with Norwich Union and made a couple of claims in that period. Cancelled when they transferred the policy to Domestic General as most of my appiances are now over 8 years old. From what I remember they had two levels of cover: one for items up to 5 years old and the other for upto 8 years old. Reasonable monthly premiums (depending on your postcode) and repaired or replaced the faulty items when claimed. It's extra piece of mind and would recommend instead of shops' extended warranties.

i have all my devices insured with domestic and general. I dont have much luck with electicals lol.
I had new replacement lots of times. So when the 12 month warranty runs out i have a further 3-5 (depending what ive chosen).
If your devise get knackered within manufacters guarentee. Then they have to sort it. After that dom and general deal with it.

Yes have one for the Dyson. Used it today. Dyson are coming around on Wednesday to fix it. It's a long story but the policy was worth it.

Sorry but SOGA covers you in this country, the EU legislation that everyone keeps banging on about isnt true in this country as the UK did not opt in.
