Any idea what Model number it is ?

just for the call out fee would be more than the price of some microwaves now so my advice is get rid of your old one buy a new one and just get extra cover for it.

Look in your local Yellow Pages for Microwave repairs.

Be warned it may cost more to repair than you paid.
The bulb on my bargain Delonghi combi microwave went and finding it was a sealed unit and not something anyone other than a qualified expert could/should do I phoned around and it was about £40 + parts just to replace.

As the microwave only cost £49.99 on a Homebase instore misprice I now use it with no light.

Do not use it without the outer glass.

Microwaves are very dangerous if not used correctly.

Phone up a local repairer with the model number and ask for a price, if it is a £300 model then might be worth paying.

"new but has no warranty"

Did you buy it from some bloke down the pub?

You can get a new one for £189 so be careful as to what any repair might cost you.

ask the seller for the receipt

was it smashed on arrival? or did it smash when you turned it on as it may well have been a reject, hence ebay.

It probably smashed when it fell from the back of the lorry. :whistling:

Here's a link to currys partmaster for your microwave:

http://www.partmaster.co.uk/cgi-bin/search.pl?query=Samsung%20BCE1197B&brand=Samsung&model=BCE1197B&path=111091&model_pre=BCE1197B&model_ref=221326&brand_ref=178&shop=samsung

Now, they appear to have an inner door, which appears to house the faraday cage bit, but they don't list the outer door. A quick phone-call might reveal whether they can supply it or not.

You can call them on 0870 442 6996.

dont do that as the serial numbers for the microwaves will be different if they check, just buy a new one exactly the same and change the doors over but wait at least a couple of weeks and at least use it a few times, then just take the new one back for a refund, hope that helps you
