I dont think they do, you can take it back for a refund as its only been one day & could state reason
cheaper elsewhere and see what they say

Not sure if they do Price Match, only thing I could suggest trying, (if you purchased it online that is) is that you should be able to send the item back up to 7 days from the day you received it, which most items purchased online are usually covered under the "Distance Selling Act". Where you have the right to return an item (as long as it is sent back as it was delivered, IE Original Packaging etc) then you should be able to get a full cash refund without needing to explain why you wish to return it.
But if they did ask, just make something up dont matter how honest it is, Actually you are well within your right to tell them you saw it £20 cheaper else where, and theoretically they have to take it on the chin and refund your money, though you'll probably have some cocky sales guy try to make out that it is not possible to refund you the money, (which would be correct if you did not purchase it from online) but if you did you would need to get in touch with them to say you plan on returning the item (if you plan to do so by post) otherwise if the weather carries on affecting the post, you could use that to your advantage if you want to guarantee getting the refund.
Here's some information on Distance Selling

Cheers guys, I didn't buy it online, will try and take it back today and get a refund. £20 quid is £20 quid after all :)

Argos do not price match at all

Look, just buy it for £20 cheaper elsewhere, then take that new product back to argos with your old product's receipt. They will have to refund it if it is under the 30 day money back guarantee.

Or take it back get a full refund then buy the same item again at the lower price.

He may have opened it and that is why he is worried he will not get the refund.

I bought a Krispy Cream in Tescos in one town that cost £1.19, and it cost £1.39 in a different town - also Tescos!! The same company can charge different prices in different stores or online/in store - Let alone 2 separate brands !!

And this is a 3 year 5 month old thread !

Why would it be illegal? You've chose to pay that price. If you're having the chair delivered you could cancel/return it under DSR and buy it again from homebase.
    unquestioned
I bought a thing for money & elsewhere it cost more money so I bought it again & now I'm mad because I spent more than double the money than the money I had spent & money money.
