hi guys.
im hoping someone may be able to tell me if the USA gba games will work on a UK gba.
i was hoping to buy my son a game from walmart.com as this is the only place that sells the game he wanted.

i havent got a clue. i emailed nintendo and they said no in the first email then emailed me again saying sometimes.

then my brother who lives in the US said yes they work as long they are pal or ntsc. so im more confused then ever lol:giggle: this is not hard to do these days
i'd be grateful for any information you may have.

gba is neither pal nor ntsc, it's not a TV.
I'd imagine all games from anywhere play ok on the gba, ds, psp or any of them.
I think the only thing that's locked are psp UMDs.
I've got jap ds games for my boy and they run ok.
I bought a pocket colour gameboy in the states on my hols and it's worked fine here and there.

As ephellova has said, the portable consoles such as the DS, GBA and PSP can work with any territory of game as there's no region locking. The only issue is the text if buying from Japan, some games can be mostly in English. some aren't.

what game is he after? most are available here.
I get jump allstars from japan because it'll never be released in usa or europe due to copyright, it works a treat. writing is in jap but it's not a problem

I hope it's Drilldozer, that's meant to be an awesome game and it's not getting a UK/Euro release

Cool, another Jump fan! I got the sequel Jump Ultimate Stars a couple of months ago. Those pesky Japanese thrash me online everytime :w00t:
