why do you not want to be on tv it might be fun to see your self on tv, what was they filming?

Was it at a tv studio or out in a public place?

If it was at a studio I imagine by buying a tickert or entering the studio you accept you may be filmed for the show, if it was in public when you are doing your own thing I think they are supposed to get permission if they use a face shot.

It was a public place, it was for some program about the police like Night Cops! or something
I don't want to appear on any program :x

you are correct, they need your consent to appear on tv or to be filmed.

Incorrect, they do not need a persons permission to be filmed, or appear on T.V.

I am of the opinion that you do not have to give permission especially in a public place. Think of a the bogus tradesmen type programmes they do. I'm sure that they don't give permission, and what about CCTV?

probably because they look like they may be under 18... but that might be wrong

For all different reasons, but sometimes because of an ongoing court case.

I would say age or it may be to do with ongoing cases. If someone is still going through the court process they wouldn't be able show them.

Well, if you dont tell her that the video camera is hidden in the bedroom then theres no harm done. :w00t:

On a more serious note, they dont need your permission to film you out in public but I think they do need permission to show your face on the programme, best thing to do is to explicitly object to make sure they dont. :)

they only need your consent i believe if you speak on it
i've been in a couple of tv shows whereas ive had to give permission only because i spoke on it
in fact i'm on a bbc show next month

wrong, they have requested not to be shown.

Don't be so ridiculous, if this was the case, all people would do is say "I don't want to be shown", and then shows like "Rogue trader" "Police, camera action" et al would cease to exist.

All people blanked out are involved in court cases.
I think not.

Can you show me where I said " All people blanked out are involved in court cases"?

skusey

If you are under 18, they need you permission.

Also complete tosh. Programme makers do it out of courtesy a lot of the time, but they do not need permission.

If you can link me to these laws, I will give a £10 to a charity of your choice for each correct one you substantiate.
