Does anyone make there own jewellery on here and if you do, do you sell it and where? When I was trained to make jewellery 7 years ago it was like no one made it now every ones doing it. There even a channel dedicated to jewellery making and supplies on Sky now. Don't get me wrong I love jewellery making and even watching it on TV I love, BUT......it's just hard selling it now that there is so much handmade jewellery available everywhere xx

A friend of mine used to go to all the craft fairs selling the bits she made. She makes it out of glass. Has a really good business now in Exeter. Have you tried any fairs near you?

I love silver jewellery - I dont seem to suit gold. My wedding band is white gold. I like simple designs - have saved your link btw as definitely like your stuff. Hope it all picks up for you as you have a talent there

But it's not selling much on ( that site). My Husband wants me to give it up as a bad job and put it down to experience but I love doing it and I've ploughed alot of money into it so can't stop now :( I may have to think of something very original, that will also sell along the jewellery line :) x

Thanks Bossy, you have made me feel alot better :) I was beginning to give up on it.....but never admitting that to my other half. x

I didn't see the link mentioned, but there are a couple of sites dedicated to selling handmade stuff etc:

folksy

etsy

Don't know if they will be any use to you.

I know there was a lady who sells handmade jewellery on folksy called Zara Taylor. She has recently had her stuff featured in Vogue, as she sends items to celebs. I know Fern Cotton wears her stuff, as has Davina McCall: Might be worth a shot getting in touch with some high profile celebs via social networking sites and asking to send tham free samples, if they like and wear them, your name and place of selling (i.e. websites) will become known in mags etc

her facebook page

Hope this may be of some help

Offering a service where you make something to a customers requirements might get you more business, as there is less of this around and every woman knows what its like searching everywhere and just not being able to find what you are looking for

Thanks Silkymolo, I have now liked her on her Facebook.page, it's encouraging to see that jewellery can sell if you use the right means. I had thought about sending an item of jewellery to loose women a little while ago because they always wear nice jewellery so I might do that now. I'm selling on Folksy, I'm not allowed to say much about it on here but if you PM me I will give you the link.
Hi Kelly-o-fanatic, yes I do make anything really to the size required plus I make childrens personalised bracelets, which they sell well for me on Ebay

My friend also sells her bits in independant shops. She gives them a % of the sale. I think she does all the goods on sale or return so the shop hasnt nouthing to lose. She targets clothing stores for this. Is there anyway you can send me some pics. I can show her. She may be interested in selling it with her stuff. Shes always saying that she cant make enough of it. Maybe worth a shot.
