yes it hurts lol, i have 6 now including a big one on my back and i dread the pain everytime. once its over though thats it, you have it for the rest of your life. if you really want it go for it, but please pick a good tattooist. once you see it all completed it makes the pain worth it

Depends where you get it,too. I had one on my hip that was fine but one on my back was more uncomfortable. I guess my hips are fleshier!!
#11
Depends where you have it, some places more than others :)

My wife fainted having a tattoo done on the small of her back.

Different parts of the body are affected differently, I had a tattoo on the top of my arm and it just felt like continuous scratching and stung for a short period. As I say my wife had a tattoo in the small of her back, during the procedure she said she was fine and then when she stood up at the end she fainted!

depends on where you get it done, my 1st one was on my ankle and that area is very bony the tattooist said thats not a good spot for a 1st tattoo but i enjoyed getting the 2nd one done on my arm there was more skin and i found it really nice and soothing :)

i think the noise of the tattoo gun makes it worse too, and the vibrating, if it was just the pain without the noise it would be more bearable

Hi Greyparrot :) if you are put off by the pain factor maybe you might consider a henna tattoo

The nice thing is you can change what you have in that place on your body every couple of months.
There are stencils you can buy and Henna cone tubes they don't cost very much and its painless :)

the pain having it is nothing compared to the pain having it removed thirty years later when it no longer looks cool..... do yourself a favour and forget it..

It is painful, but not unbearable. I don't usually do that sort of thing either as I'm such a wimp ( put it this way, I had Gas and Air just to be induced:oops: ) but I held my breath and my mates hand until it went blue and got through it with not too many teeth marks in my arm lol:lol:

Hold your top lip with two hands:

Ready?

Now pull it right over your head!!

Same pain really.:w00t:

A lot of it is having the right state of mind, if a doctor told you they had to stab me with fast moving needles with ink on it would hurt like hell but if you want it then its not so bad.
If you go into a tattoo shop and ask i am sure they will test it on you with no ink

Its very sore, have a few drinks first

had one done on friday at the back of my neck. It was fine. Feels a bit like going into a shower with sunburn

hahaha i like that.

yes my tattoo really hurt and i have a high pain threshold too.... the tattooist said it hurt so much coz i was really skinny and the needle was bouncing off the bones on the base of my back :?

It could hurt you for the rest of your life.
I thought about tattoos for a long time.
Eventually I had a henna one, just to try it out.
As soon as it was on I didn't like what it was "saying about me" and washed it off asap.
I sometimes have a wry smile at heavilly tattooed people as I think forward and immagine them in the Post Office queue, looking like that, waiting for their pension.lol

it depends where u have them ,, near to the bone hurts more than where the fat is :P, i have 2 and can say labour is 50 times worse than a tattoo,

No not at all

It's a personal choice and not sterotypically limited to certain types of people and even if it was what is wrong with people from council estates??
