Having asked about dance music i got a reply in thread referring to comments that can only mean they assume im a chav.

Does everyone think liking a certain type of music makes you a chav?

I think it's a sweeping statement for anyone who likes the new Happy Hardcore/Scouse House movement...

Although, you have to admit, if you look at events held for this genre, you would say it was more chavtastic then any other events you would normally see.

Whats scouse house? being from ni these things kinda are different here.

We have two types of people millies or spides (male millies) which i would liken to the chavs

or cultuies - country folk or farmers lol

I fall under the 2nd simply for being from the country lol

think i get what your saying browni but i dont think cascada come under happy hardcore do you?

maybe i should of said club music then?

Don't take any notice of people who make stupid little comments - they have their own insecurities and that is why they try to slag off others - leave them to their sad little worlds and enjoy whatever you want to enjoy (so long as it's legal - lol)

Cascada falls under Scouse House...

It's basically what they class as dance music but with cheesy/stupid lyrics.

It also includes tracks that are basically old songs but with a new 140+ bpm and synths instead of piano riffs etc

Don't get me wrong, I'm not slating anyones taste in music, I mean I'm still mostly stuck in the 97-99 house/trance era, but I think that's the general take on things for people who don't get on with that type of music.

Music taste is irrelevant, playing it out loud on your mobile on the bus makes you a chav.

i'd never heard of scouse house

but i must admit i do like that just before match's to get in the zone

rest of the time it has to be r&b i guess

It certainly is annoying, the fact they have headphones plugged in and the volume climb regardless. Enough to make you wonder if indeed they are in the correct socket of the phone! A many a phone has departed a bus prematurely, usually shortly followed by it's unlawful owner.

I'm what most people would describe as a "mosher" or "metalhead", however, I am also quite partial to a bit of dance music...

It's not music tastes that make you a chav, it's how you behave!

Ignore any narrow minded tossers who tell you otherwise...

i do ignore i just wondered what exactly a chav was cos when i googled what they said chav came up but like the wiki def wasnt that helpful in showing the link between music lol

I like Cascada when im feeling down, but thats partly due to the lyrics being funny, also stuff like Benny Benassi, the Baywatch theme etc.

The good thing about Cascada is that you don't have to choose a specific song of hers to listen to, since they all sound the same :p hehe
