Hi all,
I recently bought this laptop:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/324480/lenovo-laptop-3000-n500-pentium-dua/

I initially thought that this included Microsofft office. However it appears that only a 60 day trial was included as I am now being asked for a product key to continue using Microsoft Office, Given my limited tech understanding, could somebody please answer thesae two questions:

1) Looking at the link posted above - am i right in thinking this laptop does not come with Microsoft Office installed?

2) If so, where is the best place to get Microsoft Office?

Thanks all!

Chris

Why not use Open Office or Microsoft Works (I got this from eBay for under £6.00).

It is usually only the high end computers that have the full version of Office installed. It is expensive to buy.

Nope, Office and Internet Security packages that come pre-installed are pretty much always demo versions.

As mentioned OpenOffice is a good package to have, otherwise for non-commercial use you could get MS Office 2007 Home & Studen Edtion for as little as £60 (only includes Word, Excel and Powerpoint) .
