Depends on the circumstances. I would always say that running away from a fight is a good idea, most martial arts teach that if you can defend against not being there, you dont get hurt. But otherwise it would depend what circumstances you are talking about

Nah, just wondering after I saw something in another thread, that's all...I've been up for hours already and just wanted to know everyones opinion on the matter. :)

Keeping the thread on topic though, I do believen fighting for what you believen and running away from your problems only creates more issues and many more regrets in the future. :)

Yes I'd go with that. But only if it's a two way thing. There's no point in me fighting for Elle Macpherson as I'm not going to get her so nobody else can get hurt so may as well run away.

But running away from love/family/work/money issues doesn't normally work as they get worse and catch you up normally.

Right I'll catch this thread later off out now! Have a good day RFM.

Thing is - when you say fight for what YOU believe in - that is all well and good as long as you don't end up getting hurt - be it physically or mentally -walking away - although difficult can be a good idea but not one everybody naturally chooses....
Look at how many of your ladyfriends on here have been hurt (for want of a better word) by the things people write - they could have just ignored it - but it is really hard.

I guess - it really depends on what it is - for instance - there is nothing wrong in fighting for what you believe in if you were in Court on a technical matter or similar....

?? What you fink?

you should always fight for happiness, life is too short to be unhappy when there is something you can do about it.

That's exactly my sentiments too. :)

I think happiness is the most important thing in the world and it shouldn't be given up easily but there can be some adaptions for happiness too. :)

Oh I guess we are talking about 'Mrs RFM' here. Yeah you should fight for love if you feel its right. However she has to want to fight for it as well, if she is not willing then my past experiences have told me its best to leave it where it is. However your marriage is important and you should not give up on it :)

Nah, it's nothing to do with Mrs RFM, it's just what I believen.

I'm not married but hope I will be one day. :giggle:

I always own up to my mistakes...I'm only human and have made many mistakes in my time, as has everyone. :)

EDIT: if you're referring to my location, that's just a tune that I really love and have always wanted to sing to the future Mrs RFM personally. :)

True but it also depends on what kind of effect it'll have from the things you've run away from. I.E I ran away from a very lucrative career because it was too stressful.

It's always important to consider the aftermath and how it will effect the rest of your life, as the world won't standstill while the crap is being handled.

I guess each situation is different but needs a lot of consideration with a clear head before taking the plunge. ;-)

It really does depend on the situation, sometimes you need to run away, other times you need to stand up and fight.

I fought for someone for a long time, but in hindesight I should have given up at the first hurdle.
Now I have a situation where I can fight or run, and my heart and head are torn. Thinking I am going to fight, the girl he is with has more issues than a season of Jermey Kyle and Jerry Springer put together, and it's nothing to do with him...... oh and she never makes time for him.... yeah think I am going to fight this one, lol

Be careful how you handle it though, as you don't want to complicate matters even further...sounds like he has enough on his plate. :)

I know where you're coming from though, I had a lot of problems with one of my ex's when she was in her own world. :)

I'm just going to keep on being a nice sweet uncomplicated girl, who gets on with his family and friends, lol... He will open his eyes in the end, lol
